The next day, I ended up arriving on time for sword fighting class. By now, I was given a camp teee, which I hated wearing, and I also got my own sword from Mr funny man Valdez. He was this tall scrawny kid, that actually was tougher than he looked. Funny man was interesting, and it was even kinda cool how he made friends with a daughter of Aphrodite. On the other had I also met with Beauty Queen McLean, and he was actually right, she was a beauty quenn, although she kinda had a boyfriend. Jason.

When I made it to the arena, I noticed Mia in the back. She had on armor rather than the camp tee, and she had her strawberry blonde hair ties back along with shorts, a red longsleeve undershirt and a pair of gloves. Her gaze showed conviction and power. But I knew that deep underneath all that hatred, she was actually a caring and nice person. Making my way towards her I smiled. She was kind enough to stay there while, I made my way towards her.

"What do you want?!" She muscled. I smiled. "I want to talk to you, to get to know you. Be your friend. I want you to open up to me and allow me to be there for you." Mia rolled her eyes annoyed. She kept focus at Jason in the front, while he explained our practice today.

"Like I told you before, we'll never be friends." She pouted. "Now, buzz off." Taking her swords, she repeated everything that Jason instructed. After a few practice sequences, he let us all partner up. Reluctantly she allowed me to be her partner. She probably did becuase of the thought of getting to beat me, but I like to think it was because she wanted to be around me.

Gazing at her I smiled, as she scowled at me. Taking a step in, I struck. With a clean sweep, she blocked my sword and matched me. Every time I attacked, the girl looked bored. It was like she knew exactly when and where I would strick. Out blacked matched left and right. Blow for blow. After ten minutes, Mia yawned. "Are you done? I would like a real challenge." She glanced over at Jason.

"A real challenge!" It was then that my last straw broke. I my eyes took control of my hands. It was like everywhere I struck, I wasn't in sync with my sword. But now, I attacked right. My arm swung with correction and dedication. It was a sudden change, but I could see it in her stance and her eyes. She was holding offf her own now. In a swirl of attackes, I disarmed her, closed in and pointed both swords at her.

Rather than anger, I got a more positive response. I got a smile of passion. Or so I thought. Her eyes glowed in the sky light, as I gazed at them. "Not bad." She acknowledged me. "Fine, you've earn my respect as a swordsmen. But not as a demigod!" She pointed. I laughed. "It's funny, because you're not in any position to be making demands or such accusations."

"I'm more than capable of fighting, you without a sword. Heck, you could have five swords and that won't be enough to stop me." She said with pride. I glanced at her a bit curious if that was true. "Why do you hate me? I've never done anything to you. So by logic, there is no reason for you to hate me."

Mia smiled."Whoever said I hate you in particular. I don't hate you." Leaning in, she took her sword back, and sliced at me. i did a back flip matrix style, before making distance. "The Olympians, aren't fair. I want to prove that your parents, the demigods of the Olympians aren't so special. I've spent five years or so, trainning and I also spent time against them." I smiled. "Five years? Well, If your talking about the war against the gods, yea. I know Percy told me. But I don't care. I know you like me!"

Causing a scene, everyone stared at us. Mia smiled. "I'm sorry, but I'm done here." Turning aroun she walked away. Fruatrated, I stood there trying to understand her. "What's wrong with her?! Why can't she just admit it?!" Walking away, I decided to run after her.

I found her at the beach today. She was sitting there, watching the tide as it corressed the shore."You know, you're never gonna get ride of me! So stop trying to!" Mia turned to reveal sad eyes. She didn't have tears, but looked like she should've. "I don't want you around. Can you please just leave me alone."

"Hey, what's the big idea, I never have seen you so nice. Why are you so mean?" I wondered. Mia smiled."It's because of what the gods did to my brother. You see, my brother was Alabaster Torrington. He and I faught against the gods. At the time, Alabaster was the leader of the children of Hecate. When the war was over, he was forced to live a life fighting against monster, without the help of the gods, his demigod friends or our mother." She murmured.

"So you hate the gods?" I asked. She nodded. "Well, you need to learn to live a life without hating." After I said that, I laughed. I would be the normal one in this arguement. I mean, I didn't want anything to do with my own father, and yet now here I was giving her lessons about living a healthy life.

"You're right." She muttered.
Amazed I laughed. "What?!"
"You're right!" She yelled at me.

"But remember this, you should open up to your godly parent. Even the sea god, loves his children. Heck, even Hades cares on some level." Mia rose, with a smile on her face.

"I thought, Hades couldn't have children." I replied. Mia began to walk away. "He's does have a son, he rarely visits camp. His name is Nico di Angelo. Ask Percy about him. Oh, and the next time, we meet let's go for a walk in the starwberry fields." As she vanished into the distance, I realized one thing. I had realized one thing. I had made a connection and broken into her heart.

Smiling, I walked back towards the Poseidon cabin.
