Walking throughout camp, wasn't the least of my worries anymore, but finding Mia was. By now, I had memorized every single location and everyone of importance. I had even made a couple of friends. For starters, Mia accepted my friendship. I had become friends with Jason, the son of Jupiter, as he calls him, Mr FunnymanValdez was another. And then there were my three budds Angelo, Tyler and Kevin. All of them were children of Nike.
When I finally found Mia, she was in the combat room, in the Big House. Her teachnique reminded me of Bruce Lee. How she would easily deflect the attacks rather simply. After a minute, she flipped her enemy only using her legs and his left arm. Amazed, I hesitated. This girl was dangerous. Far more dangerous than I could even comprehend.
After her session, I awaited her, with a bottle of water and a wet towel. Smiling, she took them from me and began to walk away. "So, what happened?" She asked taking a refreshing quench of her thirst. I smiled. Her eyes made me feel a bit excited. It was like I was a kid getting their favorite toy for christmas.
"I wanted to take you for another one of my famous walks." I smiled. Alright it was chessy, but I wasn't good at this, could you cut me some slak, did you forget, being nice isn't my quality. I was always rude to people. Although they were rude to me first so it couter acts. Gazing at me, she sighed. I knew that gaze, she either wanted to a) punch me in the face, b) Judo flip me off the bench or c) both a and b combined. But instead she did something even more amazing. She gave me a hug. Yeah, that's right a hug. Like grade school kind of affection. I mean, not that I don't mind hugging her. It's just we weren't six. We were teens. At least based on her appearance I thought she was. She didn't look to young. Older than fifthteen for sure, but not as old as Annabeth or Percy. As she pulled away, my heart sunk. She smiled, then laughed.
"You're definitely interesting." She said. "I can tell you one thing my feelings for you are currently more positive than negative. So don't worry about that. Just let time guide you." With a fainted smile, she walked away. "Meet me at Half blood hill before sunset." I called.
The stress of my date with Mia, was madness. I would dress up, in nice clothes then mess with my shirt, give up and change. After about thirty minutes and seventeen different outfits, Percy decided to help me. He told me to put on a cool blue tee, a pair of American Eagle taped jeans and a pair of new sneakers, which appearantly were a gift to me from dad.
"So, he gave me these?" I asked Percy, as he fixed my sleeves. Percy nodded. "Yes, he also said that he was sorry. You do know, that I've been through that. It's ok, he becomes better. Poseidon can be mean at times, but he's actually one of the few gods that actually cares a lot about his children."
I smiled. "It's ok. Percy, I've already forgiven him. But I don't want to talk to him. Not yet. Given time, I'll approach him my own way. But not now. " Turning around. I walked out and headed up the hills towards Half blood hill.
At the hill top, Mia sat. She had on a red sleveeless dress. Her eyes were exactly hw I had dreamed they'd be. I smiled as I sat down next to her. "Welcome to the sunset." I said.
Mia laughed. "I know what this is," She admitted.I smiled. "It's a date, right?" I laughed. Mia had always hated me. She never gave me a chance. She didn't even care about the fact that she had liked me too. I stared at her, amazed and then found myself drawing closer. It was like I was made of metal and she was a magnet.
Our bodies tensed as our heads tilted and then, a sudden bursts of emotions were released. It was then that I opened my eyes to see, that I was kissing Mia. Amazed, I smiled, to see she had enjoyed it too.
"I umm. I umm." I mummbled. My mind raced across trying to search for the right words. But sadly, I had nothing. Mia smiled. "Speechless I see. God to know." She laughed. This time, I fell in love with her laughter. It was cute, and endeering.
"We'll is ther something you'd like to ask me?" She wondered.
Smiling, I rose to my feet. "Well you be my girlfriend?" I asked holding out my hand.
Gazing up at me she spun her head in regection. "What do you think, and please learn how to ask out a girl. I mean come on!" She grabbed my hand and rose .
"You're really gonna be one heck of a girlfriend." I smiled.
"I know, and I'll teach you everything you'll know." With a quick judo flip, I laid on my back amazed that I was back on the ground. "Lesson number one, learn how to fight." She smiled.
