Dinner was a feast. I sat at the Hermes table, while Scar got to sit an eat with the Athena kids. Considering she was smart and desicive in battle, I wouldn't complain on why they'd seat her there. I ended up talking about various things with my half-siblings. Some were into collecting swords, others were more into video games. I wondered how that'd work considering most tech was like a flaregun letting any monster within a three hundred miles know your exact location.

After eating, most of my siblings got up and tossed their leftovers into an altar that held a mass of Greek fire. I followed a bit convinced it was the best thing to do, but when I got up at the altar, I noticed a little girl, probably eight years old, next to the hearth. She obviously looked hungry but didn't seem to have a physical form. She was trasparent. Probably a goddess.

"Who are you?" I asked a bit confused that I was talking to what appeared to be a ghost.

"I'm Hestia. The goddess of the hearth." The little girl smiled. "It's nice to see a new face. Normally people don't notice me, but you're a first to notice me in a long time. The last one was the child of Hades."

"Now there's a child of Hades." I smirked. "It seems like all the gods you,d expect to not have kids do. Do you have kids?"

"Eww, no way!" The little girl exclaimed. "I'd rather help the kids, It's goss to have them, especially the way humans do."

Amazed I laughed. "You're funny, Hestia." I nodded as I scrapped away the remains of my food. Deep in thought, I kmew which god I'd turn my meal to, the goddess Hestia.

Amazed a pot of food popped up in her hand, opening the pot, she took a wiff at the aroma and smiled. "Why did you do that?" She asked.

"Because, I'd rather turn in some food to a goddess without children, than to my own dad. Besides, he's been quite a bother, might as well give you some food."

"Thank you, Nicolas. I'm sure you'll become a strong hero." In a bright light the girl faded and I was left dazzed and confused.

After dinner, I walked around with Scar. She told me all the interestinbg conversations her and Annabeth talked about. Apparently the two of them had declared a rivalry. I didn't disagree with it considering, Percy would be a good rival for me too. But, the idea made me feel uneasy like she was trying to make too much out of something that wasn't supposed to happen.

When we arrived at the beach, we sat on the cold sand and took our time watching the nightime shore as it slowly crept its way up towards the mainland.

"Do you like it here?" I asked.

"It's nice." Scar smiled. "The people here are actually helpful and they understand us. We're like them."

"Yea, we are." I gazed at the water. "But that doesn't mean we can't try out for the other camp."

"What do you mean?" Scar wondered.

"Let's find that Roman camp, and then we can make up our mind. I'll learn Latin, I'll figure out how to be kind to Hermes, or Mars or whatever his roman name is."

"Mercury." She replied. "The god of mesaangers. Alright, we can try that, but what happens when they find out your not Roman."

"Then, and only then we'll improvise." I smiled as I tucked her in my arms as the counch horn blew for cerfew. With the last counch horn bell, I kissed Scar good night as we prepared for another journey this time to the Romans.

Notes

The journey continues. I wanted to try something out here. I know I haven't written anything in months, but I've kinda lost interest in fan fics and was more into making my own stories in my own world, no Percy Jackson World, you know. But continue reading and we'll see how it is. Comment rate subscribe you know the rest, and thanks for reading.
