Sam's Adventure
Chapter 11
when we had been flying for about thirty minuets emma flew over next to me
"hey sam you okay?" she asks and I realize I had been scowling
"yeah" I say smiling as sienna jumps of her Pegasus and lands on Alexa's who whinnies and almost bucks her off
"I guess im just worried what if ares really is my dad? I mean I have no idea who my real one is and Im not sure I cant even remember my life before bill and what if mom really did falsely claim me ?" I say and emma looks like she wants to say something but then Lily screamed. I turn so quickly I almost fall off sky I see a harpy attacking her pegasus who spirals towards the ground and lily flying off her pegasus and falling towards the ground
"Lily!" I yell and sky dives for her with incredible speed. I pull lily on sky and I notice that Emma is trying to stop the harpys from attaking the rest of the group
"harpys are sometimes known to be followers of ares." lily says and I urge sky above them
"Back away!" I hear emma says standing between the others and the harpy. The harpy looks at her and speaks
"your father has sent me I am to do away with any demigods that dare come his way." it says in a raspy voice
"no" I say and when sky is directly above the harpy I pull out my sword
"Lily um Im gonna act like an idiot so i may need you and sky to come and save me." I say admittedly and jump off my winged horse directly on top of the harpy.
Looking back on it I should have grabbed one of my arrows. I managed to get my legs around her neck but she was thrashing around so much I cut my self on my sword and my legs where all scratched up. We were slowly falling and I needed to act fast or id end up pavement and I would end up harpy food
"I really hate harpies" I mutter and bring my sword down on her head and poof magical dust! I was suddenly free falling and I had some choice words for that harpy. Right before I hit the ground sienna grabbed my arms and slowly set me down as my legs were still bleeding. Sky landed and I looked at them scornfully
"Hello!!! I was falling to my death! What happened to saving me!?" I ask and immediately feel bad
"sorry didn't mean to say it that way" I mutter and Lily nods
"Its fine but we've lost three of our horses. What are we gonna do for a ride?" I look over and see Alexa sitting on sienna's horse with emma in front of her. emma's horse must have gotten hurt before I jumped
"I have no idea but first we need to figure out where we are-
"and how to find camp" I hear a voice say from behind a building
I stand up and slowly walk around the corner to see a girl in a orange t shirt with some other campers
"Your on a quest to?" I ask walking up to them and the girl backs up
"ok thats it" she draws a sword and aims it at me
"woah hold on! Im a camper to!" I say and put my hands up showing my orange t shirt and her sword dips.
" where did you come from?"
"Um out of the sky we got attacked by a harpy" I explain and emma walks up
"whats your name?" she asks in her own calming way and the girl points her sword down
"I uh my name is umm Lynn me and my friends found out we were demigods but the people who know where camp is died before they could tell us." she gestures to a blonde Girl who looked 16 and A black haired girl who looked about 17
"This is Emily" she points to the blond haired one then to the black haired one "and this Is Harley"
The girls wave but still have there weapons out.
"How bout we put the stuff away and get aquatinted " I suggest and pull out some cash
"Who wants mc donalds?" I ask and the girls instantly put away their swords
I hand the cash to alex and ask her to order 8 cheeseburgers and 8 hamburgers
She nods and runs across the road to the Mc donalds.
"Alright girls do you have someplace to rest for now?"
they nod and lead us into a dead end ally with cardboard boxes inside a metal trash can and sleeping bags around it.
"This place is awesome guys!" Emma says sitting down
"Thanks" Harley says
"How did you end up here? " I ask and lynn sighs sadly
"well the people from camp got killed by some monsters they simply told us to get to camp and tossed us this golden coins and their weapons we were stuck here running from monsters fighting back practicing ectera."
"I am so sorry but now we need to figure out what we're gonna do." I say and sienna looks at me confused
"Do? what do you mean?"
"I think that one of you girls may be taking two of these girls to camp while the third one will take your place in the quest."
"Are you crazy!?" Sieena shouts at me right as alexa walks up with the food.
"here you go" she hands out the food "so what I miss?" she asks looking at me
"I think one of us may need to take two of these kids down to camp but first we need to figure which one would be staying and who they're godly parent would be." of course right when I say it lynn has a spear above her head
"lynn!" I say astonished "your a daughter of ares!" and lynn looks at me and nods
"not only that but I know how to get to camp!" she says blushing and I suddenly have an Idea
"Sky" I say turning to my horse "can you carry two?" he snorts and nods his head
"Great! harley and emma you will ride sky" I look Sky in the eye
"No bucking No disobeying You will take them all the way to camp and then you will stay there." I tell him seriously
but you'll need my help! he protests
"No I won't " I turn to sienna "Can your dad give us a ride?" I ask cautiously and she bites her lip
"I don't know Sam he did once but I'm not sure"
"Can you try? please?" I beg and she sighs and walks over to a corner and starts mumbling
while she does that I load harley and emily on sky and set lynn on the last pegasi that we have left
"ok its on long island it will take a while but sky will take you there okay?" I ask and she nods
"Thanks for everything" she says and the pegasus takes off
