Chapter 8
A conch horn blows and everyone heads towards the mess hall (or what ever they call it here)
sienna grabs my hand and emma grabs my other one
"Come on!" sienna pulls me to the mess hall where it seems like its mac and cheese night. I give a sacrifice to the gods and sit down with the ares kids and sienna goes to sit down with jason and that indian girl
Clarisse looks at me smugly emma suddenly finds her mac and cheese very interesting
"So kid heard you got a quest who's going with you?" I look her in the eye
" why?" I ask carefully. Clarisse snorts
" why? because I want in kid!" emma makes a noise like a strangled rat at this and I suddenly find my mac and cheese very interesting
" um clarisse I dont really want to take you" I mutter just loud enough for her to hear Clarisse's eyes seem to have a burt of flame in them she Brings up her hand as if to punch me I brace my self as she brings down my hand only to be stopped by a girl in full body armor I couldn't see the details but I could tell that it was a girl roughly 14 her hand took the full force of the punch
"back off Clarrise and don't be a sore loser" she turns and pulls me away with emma walking behind once we are out of earshot emma decides to speak since the Sienna incident
"Who are you?" she asks curiously the girl looks at me
"Hi I'm Alexandra but most people call me alexa, Im a daughter of Hephaestus."
I study her
"sam daughter of enyo thanks for the save"I say, emma looks at Alex
"want to come on our quest with us? we are leaving tomorrow morning" she says Adorably. Alex looks shocked
"you want me? on a quest?" she looks at emma like shes turned into a harpy
"yeah why not?" I say. Alexa looks at her shoes
"its just that well the last time I went on a quest we had to turn back in the middle of it. I was lucky that it was a small one more of a job that anyone can finish anytime" she blushes under her helmet
"okay so your point is??" I ask , Alexa looks up
"You really want me to come?"
"Yeah why not we got a Zeus an ares why not a Hephaestus?" I say smiling
"Yes,! Thank you !!!! I will be at the top of the hill tomorrow at ten!" she runs off smiling ear to ear. I sigh
"Great two down one to go" i mutter, Chiron stands up
"Capture the flag is in one hour prepare your self" He grins with a twinkle in his eye
"ares vs athena, pick your partners"
Clarisse glares at me and walks over to the blond girl with the laptop at the athena cabin emma looks at me
"I don't think you're going to be on ares team. " I look at her
"but what about you?" I ask worriedly
"I will stick with you no matter what team your on" she grins as the cabins start lining up the blond girl I think her name was Annabeth? walks up to me
"Your with athena both of you apparently you made Clarrise very mad." She tells me and emma and then walks back to her cabin's table. Emma looks at me and smiles from ear to ear
"Lets go get you ready" she says and pulls me away
