Prologue

It was a rainy day, it had already rained the entire day and Jake just came home from school. Today was just like any other day : boring. Jake had ADHD and dyslexia, school was really difficult for him and he didn’t like it at all. His only friends were Thomas and Andrea, he knew them since the first grade and they understood him. All the other kids just laughed at him because of his bad points. He left the bus, walked down the street and turned left. He lived in a small house with only two levels and a basement. He shut the door behind him. “Take of your shoes before you enter, sweetheart!” his mother yelled from the kitchen. His mother was 40 years old, had light brown hair and was just the same height as he was. She was always in the kitchen and loved to cook and she was really good at it, she could cook anything. “How was school?” She asked. “Just like any other day” he said. “These ADHD pills aren’t working mom, and the dyslexia isn’t turning better either” . “Well the doctor gave me these…” “No mom, no more pills, they’re freaking me out” he immediatelly said. “I’m going to bed”.
As soon as he entered his bed he fell a sleep. He dreamed about Andrea. They were in the park together at the lake. She looked in his blue eyes and he looked back in her brown eyes. Suddenly he heard a loud hum and the ground beneath his feet began to tremble. When he opened his eyes the sound didn’t stop and he was getting kinda scared. He walked to his window and a bright light filled his eyes.
