chapter 1
i live in new york Manhattan with my mom and abusive step father Joe. I get bullied a lot in school i have ADD and ADHD plus dyslexia. I don't have any friends except one. Well i used to but he moved away, he was like me his name was Percy Jackson. me and him were friends since kindergarten, until he moved when we were 13 years old.
my mom and Percy's mother sally were friends. So that made me an percy great friends. when Percy said he had to move we made a promise to never forget each other. Truth is i still miss Percy its been 2 years since he moved away. i miss him dearly he was my only friend.
i was sitting on the couch watching wizards of Waverley place my mom was sitting beside me on the couch.
"Luna i got to tell you something important" said my mom suddenly. i looked up into her stern bright blue eyes. "Yeah, what is it?" i said. "Sweety i just want you to make a fresh start i decided im going to send you to live with your uncle Sam for about 2 months.
My mom said pushing a strand of my reddish hair behind my ear. "But mom i haven't seen him since i was 7! " I exclaimed . "Oh honey i know your thinking about Percy but you do have to face the truth hes not going to be coming back darling, that's why i want you to go to your uncles house to get a fresh start to forget all about Percy" my mom said gently and sympathetically. "There's no way your going to make me go" i said grumpily.
5 hours later
"ladies and gentlemen we will be landing in seattle in 2 minutes" said the flight attendance lady. i cant believe she made me go i thought. i mean how am i supposed to know what uncle Sam looks like, i only met him once and that was when i was 7! ugh.
when the plane landed i grabbed my suitcases and walked off the plane. I walked into the building and looked around for uncle sam. i finally found a big buff dude He had almost black eyes and black short hair. He was standing their holding a sign with "Luna" written on it.
so i walked over and tapped on his shoulder he looked down at me, oh did i mention that he is really tall. "Are you Luna ?" he asked in a gruff voice "well do you see any other Luna's here" i said. "Well Luna long time no see, let me take your suitcase so we can get the heck out of here"Sam said. i gave him my suitcase and we walked out of the building to a old rusted blue pick up truck, and then we were off to Sam's house.
once we got to Sam's house it was like 9:30pm. I went inside with Sam and saw a women with long black hair and brown eyes. She also had along scar on the side of her face. It looked like claw marks but i shrugged it off. "hi I'm Emily you must be the famous Luna Sam kept talking about" she said in a warm voice.
"Hi Emily, yup I'm Luna its nice meeting you Emily" i said politely with a smile. " if you don't mind me asking but where can i sleep? because I'm really tired" i asked. "upstairs first door to your left Sam will bring up your luggage in a little bit" Emily said warmly. So i went upstairs and into my room. Their inside was a simple single bed there was a stand. With a lamp on it beside the bed. the walls had wolves on it and it said "run with the wolves never be afraid of wolves". OK i thought to myself then i lad down and fell asleep thinking what tomorow would bring.
