Annabeth sat on her bunk in her cabin looking at her laptop. She had all of the pictures her and Percy had taken together on a slideshow. She just wanted him back, but she had no idea where to look. None of the gods knew where he was. Nobody knew where he was. She couldn't take much longer without him. "Annabeth!" A voice yelled from outside. She stood up and ran outside. Grover was standing there panting. "What is it?" She asked. "Bad news, very bad news. Will Solace is missing and Camp Jupiter…was attacked last night. Reyna was killed and Jason and Frank are missing. Hazel and a few others are trying to keep things under control over there but they aren't having much luck, they need help!" Annabeth tried to process all this. Will, Jason, and Frank have gone missing. Reyna is dead from an attack last night. She had feeling this was all connected with Percy somehow. "Ok, I'll go to Camp Jupiter. Get a small team to go with me. We'll need-" Suddenly there was a loud crack that came from the direction of the Big House. Annabeth ran past Grover and towards the Big House. As she approached she saw five men standing there. Four of them were in cloaks with hoods pulled over their faces while the last was wearing a blue suit and carrying a cane. Chiron was standing there in horse form studying the group. Annabeth stopped beside Chiron. A group of campers came running up behind her. "Chiron who are they?" She asked. "Annabeth, this is Chaos and his generals. They've come to tell us about the great war that is on the rise that could destroy us, the Olympians, and the World." Chaos led Annabeth, Chiron, and his generals to the dining pavilion. Chaos sat at the Poseidon table which pained Annabeth while his generals stood behind him. Chaos laid his cane on the table, "Now Chiron, do you know who we are going to be at war with?" Chiron rubbed his bead, "No my lord I do not. I figured we would finally get a break, but that ended when Percy Jackson was taken from us." Chaos smiled, "I heard about that. Poor Poseidon must be worried, an you too Annabeth Chase. You must miss your boyfriend terribly." Annabeth looked at her feet, "I do sir." Annabeth noticed one of Chaos' generals twitch nervously. "I have a feeling you'll see him again. Now I'm going to let my first in command, Shane Harper, code name Midnight, tell you about the war. Annabeth watched as the general who twitched step forward. "As you know Kronos tried to make a comeback. Your missing hero Percy Jackson stopped him. About a year later Gaea took matters into her own hands, but you stopped her with the help of the Romans. Well, now there is an even bigger threat. The worst threat there could be. Tartarus' has taken a solid form and he is on the move. We've concluded that he is recruiting Titans, Giants, and past fallen enemies and monsters." Annabeth stood, "Tartarus is a pit, a deep dark hole. He can't take a solid form." Midnight fixed his attention on her, "Annabeth he has, I've tried to engage him already, but I failed. I know it sounds impossible, but it is." Annabeth froze. She hadn't realized it at first, but his voice sounded very close to Percy's. It was a little different, almost deeper and angrier. "I'm s-sorry, but do I know you?" Annabeth asked. Midnight glanced at Chaos, "Um no, we've never met before." Annabeth could tell he was lying. He sounded doubtful. "Ok, I just thought I knew your voice. There is other news. Camp Jupiter was attacked last night. Two of their campers were taken and their praetor was killed. They are in disarray, they nee someone to come take over. Is there anything you could do?" Annabeth asked. Chaos smiled, "Yes Annabeth dear. Midnight go take care of everything." Midnight bowed and waved his hand and he melted into shadow. Chaos looked at Annabeth, "Now, let's discuss battle strategy."
