The Demigod Games

Sienna:
I wake up and I see the sunlight streaming in from the window. Jake still has his arm wrapped around me. I feel a sense of dread. The games begin today. The clock says it is 7 o'clock. I gently nudge Jake.
"Wha...?" He mumbles sleepily.
"We have to get up. The games start at eight thirty. We need to get ready." I say
He nods and rolls out of bed. I hop in the shower while Jake makes the bed. When I get out he gets in and I get dressed.
I head out. "Morning." I say
Quinn nods. Jason looks up from his bagel.
Jake comes out a few minutes later.
"Guys, the outfits you have to wear are here. I had Jake's delivered here as well." Quinn says pulling out three boxes. He hands one to each of us. "Eat then go put them on."
I nod. "Thanks." I say. Then I sit down to eat, making sure not to eat to little nor too much. When I'm done, Jake is still eating so I go in to change.
When I open the box, I pull out all of the stuff. There is a black tank top, black army combat boots, black skinny jeans and a black leather jacket. There is an overview inside.
It said:
"This is the outfit you must wear for the games. All of the items have been magically enhanced They are all able to resist fire for a short while and none of them can be ripped by branches or twigs.
Good luck to all, and may the odds be ever in your favor."
I stare at the note and crumple it. I quickly throw it all on. I pull my hair back into a ponytail. I then hear Jake knock on the door.
"Hey, can I come in? I need to change." He says
"Yeah." I say opening the door. I step out to let him change. Jason is already out and he is wearing almost the exact same outfit, only his shirt is a t-shirt, not a tank. Jake then comes out wearing the same outfit that Jason is wearing.
I look at the clock. It says that we have thirty minutes. We decide to head down anyway.
When we get down to the meeting area, Stacey, Sophie and Logan are already there.
Stacey comes over, eyes wet with tears. "I'm so scared." She whispers.
I nod. "I am too." I say.
"Everyone will be lead by their designers to the starting points!" I hear a man say behind us. I turn and see Aeolus with his smile. He really makes me want to punch him in the face.
Every one of the designers walk into the room straight to their tributes. Lizzie comes running to me.
"Oh Sienna, I am so sorry!" She says. "You will make it out alive though. Just be warned, if you do, you'll never be the same."
I nod sadly. "That I realized a long time ago." I say.
"Come with me." She says leading me down.
"Give me a second." I say. I run over to Jake.
Jake turns to me and gives me a long kiss. "I love you Sienna. Never forget that. We will make it out alive." He says. I feel a familiar prickle behind my eyes, signaling the tears to come. He hugs me and Lizzie pulls me away. I turn to look at him.
"I love you." He mouths.
"I love you too." I mouth back.
Every designer with their tribute is going their separate ways. I follow Lizzie until we come to a room, that seems to be in the basement. There is a glass elevator.
"Step in and it will transport you to the arena. Don't step off the pad until the timer goes off, or it will blow you to bits." She says looking down. She hugs me. "Good luck." She whispers.
I step into the elevator. I feel it begin to slowly rise. Soon, I see myself standing in a half circle of the tributes. We are in the middle of a field, and a forest surrounds it. I see a giant cornucopia that stands to my right. It is piling with weapons and supplies. I instantly recognize my sword and knife in the dagger, as well as Jake's. Us 5 allies already figured out how we were going to get our supplies.
"Welcome to the first Demigod games!" I hear Aeolus' voice come over a speaker.
Then we hear a voice counting down from 60.
I push down my fear, determined to get through at least the first day. I take a deep breath.
"3,
2,
1!" I hear
The air horn goes off.


The Demigod Games have officially begun.
