Princess of the sea (DISCONTINUED

The Quest Plotting

We had a meeting at the big house, and yes, I was not happy. I really wanted to just take it lightly, as if no one was going to die, but sadly we had to do it anyway. So the whole camp met in the big house conference room, which seemed to get bigger whenever needed. According to quest rituals, the leader of the quest had to pick their companions. After a big 'meeting' with cheese and crackers and soda, the camp had finally settled down. Soon, the big house was silent, which was never, ever, ever, possible. But it had happened. Chiron banged his hoof on the table for order, but it was tensely silent already it was uneccesary.
"So, Miss Tompson, who do you pick to go with you?" He said.
"Um...I pick...Savvanah Pink, and James Smith, to go with me," I made my statement, which, believe me, was hard to make.
The ones who weren't chosen trudged out of the room, dissapointed. The chosen ones stayed back to discuss the quest. Even Chiron left the room.
"So, guys, what's with the 'One will rise from the dead' or something or rather line?" Savvanah asked. I answered, although it was probably useless because she was too busy staring into James's eyes.
"I think that means that a son of Hades will raise the dead or something like that."
James shrugged. "Does that mean we get to go now?"
"Yes," I sighed. "I suppose so."
"WAIT!" Savvanah yelled before we could get out of our seats. "James, aren't you supposed to have the answers?"
James didn't answer. We exited the room in silence, leaving Savvanah to gape at us as we left her alone.

I got back to my cabin, suprised to find Percy there. Usually that guy was out at sword-fighting practice or something. But we took this opportunity to talk.
"Hey," I said casually.
"Oh, hi. I'm just looking through my graded papers," He looked crestfallen, as if he had gotten bad grades. I was polite enough not to ask and just go sit up on my bunk.
If it wasn't enough that Savvanah didn't like me, she didn't talk to me at all the next day. I cornered her before the campfire and said,
"Hey, if we're on this quest together, we have to work together."
I just hoped that we'd make up before the actual quest.
