So, hi. My name is Emily. I'm a half-blood. You have no idea what that means do you? It means I am half mortal and half goddess.Trust me, this life stinks. I have to move every two months, never meet any friends, oh, and did I say I have to run from monsters?

I awoke with the feeling of fire inside my belly.

"Ugh, stupid nightmare."

I got up and quickly got dressed. Before I went out the door I remembered something.

"DANG IT!"

I changed into my favorite dress/toga and went downstairs.

"Almost forgot what day it was?"My father asked.

"Ya,had to change twice in one minute! New record."

"No,remember last year where you had to change four times?"

"Oh ya.Thanks." I said taking the plate from my dad.

"No problem." Soon enough I was hugging my dad and I was out the door. My friend Grady was sitting weird as he always does on the first of every month.This time he was sitting criss-cross and was holding a seashell. I sneaked behind him and said,

"Hi Grady!"

"AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" He screamed. He punched me in the arm and I laughed. We got on the bus and got ready for school.Then Grady's worst nightmare came on the bus."Hi there punk. Sitting with your girlfriend.

"She is not my girlfriend, she is my friend."

"Ya, but she is always with you. Are you asking her to the dance? Oh wait! She will say no because you are too ugly!" Half the bus laughed.

"Bill,go away."I said.

"Nope."

"Go away."

"No."

"I said go away!" Suddenly there was a huge popping sound and Bill passed out.

"Uh, did you do that?"Grady asked.

"I think so."
