After school Ren and I walked outside and around to the place where I had agreed to meet Piper and Jason at.
“why’d we stop, I thought you said your house is walking distances from here”
“It is. do you remember what I said about there being two more of us?”
“yeah”
“well I agreed to meet them here after school every day because they are my best friend and his girlfriend”
“oh ok”
just then Jason walked up and said “ Piper had to go to the bathroom, so it will be a minute”
“Jason, she got you again”
“what? Aww man not again”
“what are you two talking about” Ren said
“who is she”
“Jason, don’t be rude” Piper said walking up “ I’m glad Percy made a new friend. I’m Piper”
“Ren”
“Guys. She’s one of us”
“oh” they both said at the same time “cool” “nice” again at the same time.
The walk home was short. Piper couldn’t come over because she had a doctor’s appointment. We walked in to the living room where my mom, sister, and step-dad were. “mom, dad, Krista this is Ren. Ren this is my mom, my dad and my little sister Krista.”
“it’s nice to meet you” she looked at me and said in an almost whisper “do they know about you” I winced when she said that. I should have told her not to say anything about it in front of my sister.
“Percy, did something happen at school today” my mom asked in a concerned tone of voice
“yes, but nothing bad. We need to talk to you in the shed about camp”
Her face paled “alright, I’ll meet you out there”
“k. come on guys. Lets go out to the shed”
