Two Bodies, One Soul

The March

Kerri

Kerri thumped her combat boots into the mud in time with her cohort. After almost a week of chilling in New York while their troops roughed it scouting around Camp Half-Blood being attacked by dwarf burglers, the whole legion was on the move, it was time to put the plan into action.
Kerri went over it in her head. They were to meet the Greeks at the camp where Delia awaited them. The Greeks were going to introduce the duel as a grand finale for a tournament between the Romans and Greeks. The tournament would be a chance to show off each other's proficiency in combat. The Greeks would host a series of combat challenges leading up to the sword final- Greeks vs Romans to the death. Hopefully the duel wouldn't happen until after Reyna came back. But if it did then the winner would get control of the Greek camp. But that was an eventuality no one really wanted to face. Except Octavian that is.
He had gotten worse as time went by. She had avoided him mostly after he'd slapped her, Dakota did his best to keep him away from her but even with his help Octavian had taken his wrath out on her twice more, and she had the swollen forehead to prove it. She swept her auburn bangs across her bruise, not wanting to show weakness just minutes to the 'enemy' camp.

Kerri raised her hand in a fist, the signal to stop, as they finally reached Half-Blood Hill. The golden fleece shimmered on the lower boughs of a pine tree and a beautiful dragon coiled in piles at the roots, asleep. Waiting for the legion was a welcoming party of Greeks, the twins at the head. They wore armour but were smiling warmly. Octavian snarled at them as they clambered down the hill to chat.
Delia held put her hand to Octavian. "Welcome to Camp Half-Blood." The girl smiled.
'And welcome to our plan.' Thought Kerri, smiling to herself.

Notes

Okay so this is just a short one to celebrate being on holiday for a bit! Yay for Waitangi Day!
For you foreigners, Waitangi Day is a public holiday here in NZ in memory of the day a treaty was signed in Waitangi between the native Maori and the European settlers. It kept peace and blah de blah blah. I like history and all, but to me foreign history has always been far more interesting.
Sorry for not updating for a bit but dance has started again and I still have homework and, yeah. I've also gotten the guts to start writing a proper book in a notebook, it's an idea I've had for a while so it might turn out ok.
While I've been away my story has been somehow getting higher in rating? I don't even know how this happened but THANK YOU!!!
I'll update again tomorrow after I've read half a book, done two pages of maths, one page of social studies, write a newspaper article and filled out a bunch of notices. Should be just after lunch, depending when I wake up :/
THANK YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE AND HAPPY SOON-TO-BE WAITANGI DAY!!!
