Two Bodies, One Soul

Last Day

Kerri

Kerri strolled aimlessly around the camp as the sun climbed steadily in the sky, no matter how much she wished for it to slow down. She was walking past the climbing wall when a younger girl in an orange T-shirt ran over to her.
The girls dark hair was tucked neatly under a camp and she wore a jacket over her shirt despite the summer heat.
"Hi," She grinned, "You're Kerri, right?"
Kerri dipped her head in a nod."That would be me."
"I'm Nisha." The girl told her, squinting slightly at the sun's glare.
"Nice to meet you, Nisha." Kerri held out her hand and the girl shook it.
Nisha stuffed her hand back into her pocket.
"Please, don't hurt Delia. Whatever you do." Nisha begged, her tone even but her eyes betraying worry. "If you do, well... I don't know what Nico would do."
Nisha turned and jogged back to her friends, leaving Kerri stunned by the encounter.
What did Nisha mean about not hurting Delia? Why would she ever hurt her friend? And even more weirdly, why would Nisha care so much if Nico was hurt by it?
Kerri squinted at the girl and picked up some resemblance; the hair, the manner... Nisha must be Nico's sister.
She shook the matter from her head and moved on, making her way back to the Roman encampment to get into her armour. She had decided a few days ago to stop wearing it. These people were her family too, only more like second cousins than first.

Kerri took her time getting to the arena, because why not? The more stalling the better!
She heard heavy footsteps jogging up behind her and gave a little squeal when Dakota attacked her from behind, pinning her to the ground.
"What was that for?" She demanded, unable to keep a smile from twitching at the corners of her mouth.
"Well I couldn't exactly let you go into that arena without saying goodbye properly, now could I?" He grinned down at her.
"I suppose not." Kerri grinned back, linking her hands around his neck and pulling his lips to hers.
He pulled back from the kiss. "Don't you need to be in the arena?" He asked reluctantly.
"They can wait." Kerri said, pulling him into another kiss. The more delay the better.

Kerri arrived at the arena late, her fingers slotted between Dakota's. Delia gave her a grin when she finally stumbled onto the packed dirt, while the audience were giving her some pretty dirty looks. Of course, she was delaying 'the entertainment'.
She was given five minutes to warm on the dummies before the match was to start. But inevitably the announcers voice came from the speakers.
"The match will start once the dummies are removed." It wasn't Kat's voice this time, it was an unidentifiable male. Kat must have been too distressed.
Kerri watched as the dummies were removed while a bout of nerves took bites out of her stomach.
"Competitors, take your places." The male said.
Delia and Kerri reluctantly brought up their swords and faced each other.
"You may be-" His voice was cut off suddenly as shadowy figures tumbled from the darkness.

Notes

@Nisha di Angelo. I used you but I kinda used the image and persona of Bianca.
Any other requests like that and I'll be happy to fill them :)
Omg swimming sports tomorrow -.- I'm pretty sure I'll lose synchronized swimming (don't judge it's for major house points)
On another note, my autocorrect tried to make me say 'pinned her to the Argo'? I get this mental image of a person pinned by a giant drawpin to a ship?
Again, any requests and I'm happy to fill them, leave me a comment if you want to :)
