Leo Dies at the End

"Would you mind informing us of what 'The Ultimate Sacrifice' is?" Jason said, eyeing the fountain. It wasn't that much just a regular fountain- but the designs were incredible. They depicted multiple scenes of monsters, heroes, and a fountain with a man standing it. The man looked remarkably like... Romulus.

"You must sacrifice one member of your crew, and the rest of the group will be healed. Anyone who dies in this quest would be resurrected."
Her words hung in the air.
"I think we should just bring back Taylor," Dante stated.
"We figured you'd say that..." Leo exclaimed. "I say we bring back Annabeth.
Jason looked at everyone like they were about to eat him. Even the dead.
"Wait- why don't we just sacrifice the guardian?" He said the words like she wasn't even a person, like it didn't matter if she was dead.
The Guardian looked at Jason, who was looking more confidant than he was seconds ago.
"You wish to sacrifice me?" She said, amused.
Aaron"Not a bad idea, actually." Dante stated. "Its not like anyone would miss her."
Have they lost their minds? Leo thought.

Leo was the last person to want to harm the Guardian, but it was the best way.
The three teenagers approached the Guardian with their weapons drawn.
She giggled. "I won't resist. Go ahead. Put me in the fountain."
Jason and Dante grabbed her shoulders, and forced her into the shallow water in the fountain.
"Go ahead... Sacrifice me." She stated.
Jason slit her throat. She started gurgling blood, spilling from her mouth.

Everyone in the group, including The Guardian, and she was soon gone.
Leo looked back at the group before he evaporated.
Nothing had changed.

Leo woke up on the deck of the Argo II, dazed.
Was that just a dream?
"What happened?" Piper , sitting up.
Evryone was laying on the deck, completely unharmed.
Even Taylor, Dante and everyone else he had met.
Leo got up, and ran around the deck, looking at everything that s the Argo II. The wii remotes, Festus' head, even the squeaky floorboards.

Leo smiled. Jason's ideas saved everyone. He really was the leader.
A light emitted from above the deck, and a godly voice stated "I am the Fountain Guardian. Fell my wrath!"
A light saucer hit Piper in the throat.
When the light cleared, Piper was laying on the deck, blood all over he place. The same thing happened to Annabeth, Percy, and all of the others.

Only Jason and Leo were left.
"You thought you could save everyone? Ha! You merely insured their deaths!" She flung a saucer at Leo.


Leo wasn't ready to die.
