Forest Of Blood

I was right next to Zeus's fist when it happened. Me, Annabeth, Leo, Jason, Piper, Frank and Hazel were all playing Capture The Flag, when all of a sudden I blacked out. It happened so suddenly that I was confused and woke up.

Something wasn't right, the woods seemed darker and I couldn't hear anything. It was dead quiet. Annabeth and the rest of the seven appeared beside me, and we rose.

"What's going on?" Leo asks, looking around. I shrugged, "No idea." Annabeth was staring at a tree, "We aren't in Camp Half Blood anymore. Look, these trees are darker." I went up to the tree, they were darker and thiner. That's when we heard the first howl. It was long and close.

"We have to keep moving." I said, and pulled out Riptide. Annabeth looked around, "Where? Where is the exit?" I shrugged, "Let's just move before we become monster chow." We began walking through the dark forest, when something tackled Jason.

He yelled, and fought against it. A boy about my age was fighting with Jason. "Hey, it's okay! We are demigods too." I said. He got up and stared at us, "Welcome to The Forest Of Blood. You cannot escape until Jackson's blood is spilled and mixed with seawater."

With that, he turned and ran into the forest. Annabeth looked at me, "Forest Of Blood?" I shrugged for the millionth time, "Guys, I have no idea what is going on. Let's just keep moving."

We kept going through the endless woods, until Jason held up a fist. "We must rest now." I sat down on a log, and Annabeth paced mumbling about the Forest Of Blood. Leo tried to make fire but couldn't.

"What is going ON?" He cried, looking at his hands. Jason jumped, trying to fly but hit the ground. "No powers here." He grumbled. "Or water." Frank said, trying in vain to turn into a hawk. I noticed my thirst for the first time.

"We have to find water." I said, and rose. "Annabeth, Leo and Frank come with me. We'll look for water." They rose, and we headed out. Not a single drop. "We should head back." Annabeth said. I nodded and turned. Trees. Wait, which way did we come?

"Guys, I think we are lost." I said, looking around. "HELP!!" Leo yelled. "Shhhh!" I whispered. "There is monsters around!" Leo looked down, and I twirled around. "We are lost." I mumbled.

Annabeth put a hand on my shoulder, "Hey, it's okay." I pointed in a random direction. "This way." Leo started walking, "What ever you say boss!" We headed out, desperate for water and our friends.

"I'm so tired." Mumbled Frank. I nodded in agreement, "Let's take a rest here." We sat down and I rested my head on Annabeth's shoulder. Soon, I fell asleep.

I dreamed I was in a small cage and a huge shadow was outside of it. "You and your friends won't stand a chance in my Forest." It boomed. I smiled, "Try again."

Suddenly, I was shaken awake. "They're coming!" Annabeth yelled. I groggily got up, "Who?" Annabeth was running, "Monsters!" I joined her, and we ran through the forest. Frank and Leo were gone.

"So thirsty..." I mumbled, running blindly through the woods. Suddenly, my foot caught on a root and I fell on the ground biting my tongue. Before I could stand, a hand grabbed my leg and picked me up while upside down.

I stared into the ugly face of a cyclops. Oh crap.
