What Now?

My palms hot an sweaty, I walked down the hall into the kitchen. It was nearly noon but everyone settled down to eat breakfast. There was lots of noise when I was standing near the door, unseen. I walked into the threshold and once everyone looked at me, they froze. I made my way in feeling stupid as ever but I had a plan to save Percy and I's relationship as well as Jason and Piper's. I grabbed an apple and neared the table. "Hey guys.." awkward pause, "so where's Percy?" They looked around unsteadily as if saying, I'm not talking to her. Hazel finally spoke up and said, "He doesn't want to be bothered." she shrugged and started to flip the pancake again. "Oh, well, I just wanted to let all of you know that I am going to take a break for awhile, leave you guys here, have some space." Piper looked almost happy. I walked out of the room with my purse and thought, finished step 1. Jason had already left not saying anything.
