Left 4 Dead: the Cole Protocol
Unwanted "Friends"
Jason's P.O.V.
"Where am I?" I asked groggily, my head covered in a burlap sack. My hands were binded together behind me. I was obviously sitting in a chair, with an intense light radiating above me.
"Well, look who the cat dragged in." Said a female voice, hard and stern. "Annabeth Chase, Leo Valdez, and... Some blond kid." She said with disgust.
"Who are you?" I asked, trying to break free of the bind.
"Why do you need to know?" She asked. Pain seared on my cheek and I fell over. Someone had punched me!
"Are you okay Jason?" Leo said. "If they hurt you, I swear to the gods i'll"
"Quiet Valdez!" The woman said.
"Douche." Valdez murmured.
"Where's your boyfriend, Annie?"
"Wait, I know that tone..." Annabeth said, a long pause following.
"Clarisse?" She said.
"Wow! Spot on!" Clarisse said. A loud pound filled the room, A loud cry following afterwards.
"Annabeth!" I said. The chair I was on started levitating, with me on it.
"Oh, I remember you! You're that Roman guy. Son of Zeus." She grabbed the leg of the chair, and pulled in one direction. I slammed against something hard.
"Leo!" I said, dropping to the ground.
"Flame on!"
"Oh, right!" Even more light filtered in through the holes in the bag, with a gasp.
"Shit!" Clarisse said, footsteps leading right past me. A loud door closed, and the bag was lifted off of my head. The room had only one light, besides Leo of course, hanging above, illuminating the crates lining the red walls. Leo then took the bag off of Annabeth's head.
"Clarisse is mean." Leo said, slowly burning out.
"Yeah. What do we do now?" I asked, looking at the brain girl.
"Well, there's a wooden door, right there, and wood is flammable..."
"Already on it." Leo said, discharging a ball of fire from his hand that exploded onto the door. It collapsed in on itself, letting the sunlight peak through.
"Ladies first." Leo said, motioning forward.
"Then why aren't you going?" Annabeth said with a grin before leaving the room. Annabeth then screamed.
"Help!" Leo and I charged out into the sunlight, where a large crowd of blood stained men and women surrounded the door, each having a craving for our brains.
