Reyna took over my tour and Catie returned to her Praetor duties with a grin, leaving me to 'get to know' my sister. Fortunately Reyna wasn't really in the mood for conducting a serious tour so we sat in the stands of the recreated collosium.

"Why didn't you come to camp when Lupa sent you?" She asked me, apparently rumours travelled fast there (I suspected the boy Jason was the culprit).

"It's sort of a long story." I told her.

She glanced at the sun. "We've got a fair few hours left until dinner and I like a good story!" She grinned as I sighed.

"Well I'm not exactly certain how good this will be but I'll try." I took a deep breath and launched into my life story. I told her everything; how I had been taken away by wolves when I was twelve against my dad's protests, how I had been trained by Lupa then sent to camp, how I had been intercepted by my dad on my way there and he had begged me not to go and to stay with him, how I had stayed with him in a tiny cottage close to camp, how our cottage had mysteriously burnt down and how I had fled.

She gave a low whistle. "Dark stuff. But I can do better." She grinned

"Oh?" I asked.

Reyna then launched into her life story and how she and her sister had been trained by Lupa very young and not gone to camp either, instead choosing to work for the sorceress Circe. Then after some years had passed, some young demigods had released pirates on the spa where they had worked, who then killed their mistress and tortured them for years. Together she and her sister, Hylla, had fought their way out and hijacked a boat back to America. When they arrived, Hylla joined the Amazons and Reyna joined the camp, that was only six months ago.

"Woah." I breathed. "Yeah, I think you win."

She laughed softly, seeming so happy for someone who had been kidnapped and tortured by pirates. But all the pain was held in her onyx eyes.

A loud horn sounded from somewhere near the larger cluster of buildings and I jumped. "Time for dinner!" Reyna jumped to her feet and I followed her out.
