Islands of Guilt

Chapter 1

I lay on the sand on my island. I never really knew what it was called. I decided on naming it The Island of Loneliness because it's just me here. Of course. And it has been only me for the past (tomorrow) 18 years. I have my own tree house I built and it's not much but I think any 6 year old would die of excitement. I smiled at the thought. I looked up at the sky and realized the sun was setting, I had to get inside and soon.

I got up, picking up the ends of my lavender dress, the braided belt i made itching my side. I ran to the nearest tall tree and found the ladder I made. I had put these on every single tall tree for survival reasons. I climbed up and ran across about 9 walkways to get to my tree house castle. I went inside and put a giant piece of bark over it I use as a door.

I heard the growls of several ((by the way this is a cross over with The Mortal Instruments)) werewolves looking for prey. I hoped they wouldn't find whatever I might've caught in the trap I set up everyday. I walk into what I called the Gathering room and noticed 2 dead squirrels. I took them and walked into the kitchen. Now I'm sure you're thinking, "How come there's still animals on the island if you and the werewolves and vampires have been eating them?"

Well the Island of Loneliness has some perks. My mother Athena enchanted the island to do certain things other islands wouldn't do. Like for the two squirrels I'm about to eat? Two more squirrels suddenly pop out of no where to replace them. My mother knew I'd get bored so she taught me how to read and write at a young age. She created my own library where she adds new books to every week.

My squirrels had finished boiling in a pot of twigs and I put them on my leaf plate. Which I cleaned, don't worry. After my last bite, I thought I heard the voice of a man. It could've been one of the werewolves or vampires who didn't even know I was here, or someone else. I had a feeling it was someone else but I didn't keep my hopes up. I decided to go outside (dangerously of course) and check.

I opened the bark door and stepped onto the slightly noisy walkway. I walked 12 of them to get to the tree closest to shore. I saw... A floating ship? I must be hallucinating. I rub my eyes and look again. It was still there. I saw someone get out, but they were hard to see. I was pretty sure it was a guy. He had jet black hair that was only visible from the moon's reflection on it; and he seemed to be wearing a certain armor. Greek! I was Greek... Hmm. Maybe he came on a quest.

The guy, who looked to be in his twenties, walked up to the forests' edge. I became nervous he might see me, and out of my luck, he looked up. My face burned and I sucked in a breath. I noticed his eyes were the color of the green sea, and boy were they gorgeous. I ran across the walkways not caring about the noise I was making. I came to my castle/tree house and closed the bark door behind me.

Then someone knocked.
