The Children of Olympus: The Final Prophecy
Chapter Sixteen
The ship rolled on through. We were making progress to the 'ancient lands'. That's where we were supposed to be right? I didn't know anymore. I was just glad that we were halfway there. I had installed a 'auto-pilot' onto the fire breathing dragon. I still didn't know what that was supposed to do. I sat in my dad's old room and studied the sphere that I had gotten. Then there was a knock on my door.
"Come in." i said, completely involved in my machine. Charles walked in.
"Hey. What's going on?" he asked. I shook my head.
"Well, I am trying to figure this thing out." i said.
"Can I see it?" he asked. I nodded and handed it to him. "Well, according to the design of the sphere there must be a trigger switch. But, the problem is, all of the writing is in Roman, not Greek." he explained.
"Take it to Tyler!" i yelped. He nodded, and we took it down to Tyler's room.
"What?!" Tyler yelled. said. We walked in. He was sitting on his bed reading a magazine. "I can't even believe that they are calling this fashionable. This is so ugly." he continued.
"Can you help us?" i said.
"Well, that depends. Do you happen to have any chocolate on you?" he said. I shook my head. "Well, whatever. What do you need?" he asked.
"All of the writing on this sphere is in Roman, and we think that it might tell us what to do." Charles explained. Tyler took the sphere out of Charles' hands.
"It says, "Arichmedes"." he explained.
"Well, that helps a lot." I said. He plopped it back into my hands.
"You're welcome." he smiled, and pushed us out. Then he shut the door.
"Well, I am going to go back to work on this." i said.
"Wait." he said. I stopped. "Would you like to have dinner?" he asked. I smiled.
"Sorry, Barnacle Face, i have to work on this." i laughed. He laughed.
"Okay, Electric Lady." he said, walking off to his room. For some reason, I felt like his laugh wasn't genuine.
