Queen of the Undead

I rolled out of bed and put my feet on the cold ground. I shivered and recoiled. I tapped my foot around the edge of my bunk looking for my flip flops. When I found them I stood up and went to the mirror that had been set up last night and, looked at my reflection. I jumped back in surprise.

"Crap!" I exclaimed stepping closer to the mirror.

My normal soft bleached hair was in a giant rat nest and my make up had smeared from not washing it off last night. My eyes were also red and puffy from crying. As soon as I had gotten into my new cabin I had crashed. I frowned at the memory of last night. After four years of living in the Hermes cabin I had gotten used to it, but last night. I had been claimed. At the campfire I had been having a good time singing with my friends when everyone stopped and gasped at something above my head. I had looked up to see a black skull floating above my head. Chiron had told everyone to go to bed and had talked to me alone. He said that being a child of the big three could be bad for me. But I didn't care. I didn't give a crap anyway.

I grabbed my brush and started what would be a tough job... brushing my hair. After I finished brushing it I pulled it into a side braid. I then went to my face. I scrubbed the make up off my face to start again. I picked up my liquid eye liner and carefully pulled it across my eye. I started on my other eye when the door was swung open. I jumped causing my hand to go all the way across my face with the eye liner.

Standing in the door frame was Nico Di Angelo. He was a child of Hades as well and I shuddered. That kid always freaked me out. All I knew about him was that he was sixteen, could summon the dead and had gone on a huge quest with Annabeth, Percy, Leo, Piper, Jason and two other Romans.

"What in the name of Hades happened to your face?" he asked me

"You happened" I growled

"No need to growl little sister" Nico laughed

"I am not you little sister!" I yelled at him

"I don't even want to live in this cabin!" I cried sitting on my bunk

Nico walked over to me and sat on my bunk. He patted me on the shoulder.

"I felt the same way when I learned that I was a son of Hades"

"I doubt that" I mumbled

"No I really did" he said

He began to tell me about when he first got to camp with his sister name Bianca and then about the quest they went on and how she had died. I sat there quietly listening soaking it all in. When he was finished I sighed.

"I told you I know how you feel"

"Fine," I mumbled.

"We should probably get to breakfast" He said pulling me off the bed.

We walked to the dining hall together and sat at a table. Thanks to their quest people from different cabins could sit together. Annabeth, Percy, Jason, Piper and Leo were already talking when we got there.

"Who is that?" Piper whispered to Jason.

"This is my sister Alex" Nico answered

I stood next to him and blushed. I wasn't normally the center of attention. Percy smiled at me and Annabeth gave with a death stare.

"What?" Percy said turning to Annabeth

Annabeth turned away to talk to Piper.

"Annabeth! We walked through tarturas together! I am not going to leave you. She is just a child of the big three just like me, Nico and Jason."

"Well i'm clearly not wanted here." I said turning away and brushing away a tear.

"You can stay, it's just we've been through alot" Percy said

I sighed and sat down.

"So when did you find out?" Jason asked

"Wern't you there at the campfire?" I answered

"No we were um... we were taking care of something."

I didn't say anything but that was kind of suspicious. I imaged the chocolate pancakes my mom used to make me with the faces and they appeared on my plate. I cut into them and sighed tthinking about my mom. When she had found out that I was a demi-god she had abbandend me. I burst into tears as I let it all fall on me. I had holding this back for years.

Everyone turned to me and I tried to stop but I couldn't. The tears just kept falling..

"What's wrong" Nico comforted putting an arm around my shoulder.

"I just let it hit me all at the same time"

"Oh" everyone sighed like the same thing had happened to them

I sucked up the tears and stood up.

"I'm going for a swim."

No one stopped me as I walked back to my cabin to change.

This is my first fanfic! I really hope you like it! Also I hope you don't mind all the spelling and grammar mistakes. I was mostly focusing on the story! :)
