One Direction And The Oath

Niall stared, thats all he could do, it...it was amazing. He felt like he was in some sort of trance, because in front of him was a magnificent city and a stunning palace, high up on a mountain.

Niall couldn't stop staring intill he realised Percy was walking in front, not looking non plussed by the beauty of the city. Annabeth was already admiring the Architect.

They started walking down the path towards Mount Olympus and Annabeth started pointing out proudly the Architect she had designed. Niall spottted many minor gods who lived in Olympus glancing up at them, whispers followed them up to the palace.

Niall heard a few muttering Percy Jacksons name and a few minor gods beamed at him.

One even came up to us looking chuffed. He went straight up to Percy and shook his hand vigoursly. If Niall didn't know any bettter he would of said he was a chubby looking cupid. He said exitedly "Hello my boy, so glad to see you, yes. Its thanks to you my sons are finally reconised! They were getting picked of one by one, out in this horribly active world. Camp Half blood finally started to help them and I got my own cabin, wonderful news, wonderful!"

Percy looked as bewilded as all the other demigods felt. The chubby cheeful god said grinning at Percy, ignoring all the other demigods "I'm Hypnos, I-"

"Hypnos? You're Hypnos!?" Niall blurted.

The minor god looked at him suprised and he asked polightly "I'm sorry? Do I know you?"

Zayn stepped in the way and said his smile strained "Um ignore him, we just had a er...unfortunate run in with you're Roman half, in the underworld..."

Niall gaped at the god of sleep, this was the greek half to Somnus? The Roman god who had tried to kill them? The Roman god who had sent their worst fears to life to haunt them in the Mountain they went up last year? Seriously?

The chubby cheeful god looked suprised "You did? And you've not dead or turned mad? Well thats excellent news!"

Still beaming at them the god shook Percy's hand once more then giving a joyus "Cheerio!" He walked away.

Percy said bewilded "Well for the god of sleep he didn't look very sleepy"

Annabeth agreed.

Frank gave Niall a funny look as he said "You've met his Roman half?"

Niall paled quickly and said weakly "Yes, he was pleasant"

Zayn added dryly "Yeah, really pleasant, not looking into the fact he tried to kill us"

Annabeth pointed out "Everyone's talked about you're quest a lot last year, including you, you've never mentioned meeting Somnus or-"

Zayn cut her of before Niall could as he said walking in front of her "Yeah well its something we don't really want to talk about" Zayn changed the subject "Are we going or what?"

Annabeth was about to say something but she stopped at the glare Zayn was sending her way. After an awkard silence they finally reached Mount Olympus.

It felt like time had frozen as the doors opened for them. They stepped inside only to be greated by shouts and yells. The hall was not as quite as it should be. The Olympians bellows reached their ears. The gods were having an huge argument. It was so loud Niall wondered how no one outside could hear it, it felt like it was going to burst his ear drums.

They caught snippets of the argument as they stepped forward warily.

"He can't be back!"

"Thought you killed them!"

"-Alive-"

"Son-"

"She got away-"

"Halfling-"

"Dosn't EXIST!"

"Don't take that tone with me!"

"Then You Didn't do it right!-"

"You've been awfully quite on this subject Hades"

"What are you suggesting?!"

"Be QUIET! Can't you tell we have company?"

The demigods all stiffened, knowing the gods finally noticed they were there. All the gods sat on diffrent thrones in a circle, the demigods hovering near the door.

Percy nodded at them to follow him and he walked into the circle, head held high. He'd talked to the gods many times before, this wasn't that scary for him, Annabeth was the same but she gave a little bow to be more respectful.

Frank, Jenny, Zayn and Niall however looked like they were scared stiffless and would be ill any second.

Niall closed his mouth when he realised he was gaping, before them stood the gods, some of them looked kinder than others while some had a more godly quaility to them and others looked like they were already wondering how to kill them.

He could see Percy grinning at a god who looked a bit like a sailer and he guessed that must be Posidion. It was strange looking at his father but knowing technically Posidion wasn't his father, Neptune was. He wondered if Neptune and Posidion where as different as Hypnos and Somnes...

Zayns eyes widened as he noticed his father sitting on a black throne next to Posidion. He was suprised, even though he hadn't seen his father in ages and Hades wasn't stopped from coming to Olympus any more, Hades still didn't tend to spend that much time in Olympus.

What was he doing here?

He must be having a really important discussion then.

Hades gave Zayn a small smile which Zayn returned hesiantly.

Zeus boomed angrily "You have interrupted a very important meeting! Why are you here godlings!"

His voice snapped the demigods attention to him. Percy looked at the group as no one answered, everyone looking at him expectantly. Percy let out a sigh, thinking what wimps...Was this the only reason he was here? To talk to Zeus because every other demigod was to scared to do it?

Percy said, not bothering to bow which Zeus noticed but the only reaction was Zeus's eyes to narrow. Zayn had a feeling if any other demigod had done that Zeus would have killed them on the spot.

"We've come here on a quest. The Oracle told us to come here to talk to you"

Zeus growled "About?"

All the Demigods thought about the prophercy, remembering it clearly...When The Earth Falls Sick. When The Gods Can Not Come To Your Aid. When The Pool Of Blood Runs Thick. When An Ancient Oath Is Slade. Go To The Skies. To Face The King Of Lightning. But No Matter You're Cries. You Will Find The Meeting Enlightening. Then You Will Find What You Have Lost. But Of Course, Not Without A Cost.

Percy stated the prophercy out loud.

Zeus seemed to pale dramticly as soon as Percy recited "When An Ancient Oath Is Slade"

Posidion frowned, leaning forward on his throne and he said relucantly "The king of lightning eh? Well that does fit you're description Zeus...Zeus?"

Zeus looked quite pale and tensed, he looked...furious.

Zeus seethed "I should destroy you right now for mentioning that-that mistake!"

Athena demanded "What are you talking about!?"

Zeus roared suddenly standing up, his hands opening to see lightning running through his finger tips "That is none of you're concern!" He turned to the Demigods who all shrank back from the mighty gods gaze he looked a little...mad "Did he send you?! Is that it!" He fumed.

Percy said warily "I don't know what you're-"

Zeus shouted, still looking a little crazed "Don't lie to me!"

Was it just them or could the demigods detect something else in his voice that was laced with anger, was it fear?

"Brother!" Posidion warned as Zues looked even more like he was going to kill the Demigods on sight. Zeus mumbled "I knew, I knew he'd come back! I knew it!" Then he snarled "You'll die for this treachary demigods!!"

He raised his hand, lightning crackling dangerously in his hands before any of the gods could react.

"Father! No!!" Someone shouted, running into the hall. The doors sounding like an earthquake closing behind the figure.

Zeus halted his movement looking where someone had shouted his name.

Niall let out a breath of relief, his hands shaking slighly and looked up at where the voice had come from. Then smiled so wide when he saw who it was.

Jenny opened her frightened eyes when she had closed them as soon as Zeus had almost killed them, she saw who had shouted and thought with relief no wonder the god in my dreams told me he should come along, we would have died without him just now!

Who had come to their rescue?
