The Name Stealer

Anger Managment

Frost's POV

I was sneaking around the woods near our flag, when I saw the guy stab Sky. I ran at him, and literally unleashed my fury. It wasn't a hot fury, no. I'm the daughter if the goddess of snow. It was a icy fury. His blade froze when I connected with mine. I tripped him off his feet, and kicked him in the ribs. I then proceeded to freeze everything, but his head.

I froze his mouth shut too. Just for good measure. I then turned around and busied myself with Sky. Black shirt was a dark purplish color around the wound. I moved the hair covering it and I made a little whimpering sound when I saw the wound. It was really bad. Around the opening if the wound, was green. The knife had poison.

A guy from the blue team came bursting out from the woods and grabbed the flag. He stopped when he saw me and Sky. "Stop the game! Time out! Kings X! STOP!" He shouted. Running into the woods, waving his arms around like a referee. I heard someone shouting for Chiron, as a kid named Malcom walked up. He waved a blonde girl over.

She kneeled down an poured some nectar over the wound, then she grabbed a tin from her satchel. She wiped some of the silver paste onto the wound and started chanting. When she finished, she looked pale, but she wrapped bandages around her chest and back.

Malcom helped me carry her to the infirmary. I was still mad. I asked Malcom about the guy, and he said his name was Grant, and he was a son of Nemisis. He had some anger issues. After a few minutes, I was left alone with Sky. I left when Chiron came in, and I went to find Grant, the son of Nemesis.

I found him in the sword arena. He was about to decapitate a dummy, when I crossed blades with his. He seemed upset.

"So, why did you try to kill Sky?" I asked, anger in my voice. He parried my blow.

"She's a spy. A spy for the Titans, and the Earth Mother." I thrusted with my sword, and he deflected it with the flat of his blade.

"Where'd you get that idea?" I asked, sidestepping him and tripping him. He stood up angrily, and swiped at my neck.

"Someone told me, and I've heard her conversations."

I ducked and said, "That doesn't mean you should kill her. Plus, you have no proof." I said, slicing a dummies head off, by accident. I was aiming for Grant. He rolled his eyes and we did a little dance, but with the swords.

"I'll get proof. Don't worry about that. I'll get it, one way or another." He said, almost skewering me. That's it. I froze his blade and his arm.

"That's it. Your dead meat." He said, breaking the ice, and lashing out with his sword. I ducked and rolled. I heard the doors open, but I paid no attention. Slice, parry, deflect, roll, slice. Same thing, over and over. I kicked him in the face, but it only made his angrier. He was about to bring his blade down on my skull, when I felt a hand pull me back by the collar.

When I looked over my shoulder, I saw Malcom, his sword drawn, and a mad look on his face. "If you ever try to kill someone again, well, there are worse things then death." He said, grabbing my arm and pulling me out.

"Are you nuts? He could have killed you!" he said, once the doors had closed.

I gave him an sheepish look. "Look, I know it was risky, but he almost killed Sky, and I kinda got out of control. I'm sorry."

He sighed. "I know, but Grant isn't the 'understanding' type. He's more of the 'I'm-going-to-kill-you-because-your-better-than-me' type. He's not a very nice guy. Come to think of it, he sounds a lot like a son of Ares."

"Thanks, by the way, for saving my skin. I was a goner." I said.

He was about to reply, when the blonde girl came running up.

"Whoa whoa whoa. Hold on there Grace. What's going on?" He asked, grabbing her shoulders. She gave me a look.

"It's Sky."

Sky's POV

I woke up, to a blinding light. I reached up my arms to shield my eyes, and only made my back hurt worse. I closed my eyes, and tried to roll over, like an idiot. I ended up screaming, with tears streaming down my face. I faintly saw two people come in, one pushed my shoulders down, gently, while the other went and got a bottle.

She poured it down my throat, then shoved pudding into my mouth, and I fell asleep. My dreams were just as bad as being in pain. I saw my dad strapped to a chair, his normally cropped black hair, now bedraggled and shaggy. His head hung down on his chest. I could hear his moans.

It sent shooting pains through my heart. My dad was the only family I had left, and to see him like this, was extremely painful. I heard a hollow laugh.

"And to think, if you had done what I asked, none of this would have happened, if you had done what I asked. Now, your daughter is doing it for me."

My dad coughed, and wheezed. "She'll never do it."

He laughed again. "But she already is." I could see the crestfallen look on his face. Then my dream changed. I'm sorry. I'm not going to repeat it. It was too gruesome, and, well, I told myself I wouldn't ever speak if it. Let's just say it was a battle, and it ends with death.

When I opened my eyes this time, I saw darkness. I felt a presence around me, but I couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from.

"Where and who are you?" I asked my eyes darting around the room.

I heard a sweet melodious laugh. "Ah my daughter. That's no way to speak to your mother."
