The Madrigals Story

Bri's POV Okay I know what you're thinking,this is just another demigod story,but our story is anything but normal.my name is Bri Madrigal and my brother is Eli Madrigal and no matter how crazy this is its our life. it started out like any other day of torture.Me and Eli woke up at 7:00 AM so we could get to school before our dad gets up,but apparently he woke up early(probably because he knows we hate seeing him)and trust me you would hate him too if he gets you sent to the emergency room at least twice a year.sure we sometimes cooperate but we hate him and he hates us.I hate my life,we wake up,sneak out of the house,get humiliated at school,hang out with grover and his wife juniper,get home and get "punished"for something we did wrong and cry ourself to sleep.yup home sweet home.back to this morning,when we got downstairs our dad already made breakfast.( only for himself of course.) as me and Eli made oatmeal our dad said "Be home after school.I don't like you hanging out with those Underwood people." "why not?"Eli asked.I cringed as I heard the slap."because I told you to.that's why!"our dad growled."I'm sorry."Eli said as he silently cried."you two are disrespectful to me and I'm sick of it.do you understand!?"our dad yelled."yes sir.come on Bri we're going to be late."I knew we weren't but we both wanted to get out so I said"okay,I'm coming."once we were out of earshot Eli started to bawl.I tried to calm him down but he shut me out like always.I sighed"why do you shut me out?you can't do this alone or you'll explode!" Eli smiled but didn't say anything.we walked the rest of the way in silence. once we got to school we sat in our chairs in math.that's right,first thing in the morning and we have to do math.we were pretty good at it but we still hated it.since we were early no one was in the room except for the group of guys sitting in the corner.all the sudden they started walking towards us.the leader of the group said to Eli"what happened to your cheek did daddy hurt you again?"Eli smiled "actually I was doing a experimant for today when it exploded.but don't worry I fixed it so you better watch were you sit."he said.the boy paled and said "y-yeah right you're just trying to scare me,come on let's go." "bye!oh and by the way my brother doesnt tease."I said with a dry smile.after they left the room Eli and I burst out laughing.After we stopped laughing Eli turned to me "we need to make some fart bombs." "no need we just need to go to that nursery across the street and put a dirty diaper in their backpack."I replied with a grin "but then they'll only stink a little bit."Eli whined."who said anything about stink I was thinking more of what's on the inside than the smell."I said.Eli's smile told me he understood.and with that we headed to the nursery.
