The new Goddess

After dinner I wanted to show Alex some cool places in the woods, but than a girl called: 'He Alex! Do you want to join our game?' The girl was from the Athena cabin, she and her siblings were sitting in a circle. They were talking and waited for the game to start. 'Sure!' Alex said. 'What do you play?' 'Questions and Answers.' The girl answered. 'Sounds like fun, are you coming to Finn?' Alex asked. 'Nahh.' I said. 'That game is stupid.'
'Why?'
'Because only the Athena kids know the answers.'
'Well, but maybe I am a daughter of Athena so I can join right?'
'I never said you couldn't.'
'Thats right. But are you coming with me? Please?'
'Pff, okay then. But only because you're new here.'
'Yes! Thanks a lot!'
She went to the Athena kids and I followed her. Why? I had no idea.

We sat in a circle and everybody was really excited to play the game. The girl who called Alex walked to the middle of the circle. 'Hi,' she said, 'I'm Emily, for the ones who didn't know.' She looked at me. 'Today we have two new people joining us: Alex and... Finn, isn't it?' I nodded. Why didn't they just start the game? If it continued like this it would take hours until we were finished. She talked about a lot of other things, like: i'm so happy that there's peace and praise the gods and blah blah blah. 'Lets start!' She finally said. '1: what was the name of Percy Jackson's Pegasus.' A bunch of hands shooted in the air. 'Yes Christian?' Emily said. The guy had blond hair and grey eyes, just like his siblings. He had this huge smile on his face, like: hé! I'm so excited to play this game! And I know the answer yay! 'He was called Blackjack.' Christian said. It looked like he was really proud of himself. This question wasn't that hard right? (For an Athena kid). Why was he so proud of himself? His siblings looked a little annoyed like: ugh he does this all the time and it's soooo annoying! Weirdo, I decided. There followed a lot of questions. They became harder and harder, I was getting bored. So I decided to take a nap, but when I was almost asleep I heard Alex' voice saying something. 'I'll try.' She said. 'What? What was the question again?' I said. If Alex wanted to try, mabey I could do it to. Emily sighed. 'This is the hardest question of the game, you have to describe what you did at march the 7th 2035. In detail.' I was confused. Of all the questions the Athena kids asked, this was the one she wanted to try? I didn't even remember what I did last week, okay maybe I do, but what about last month? And in detail? 'Well,' I said to Alex, 'Good luck. You'll need it.' She started talking about how she woke up that day. How she had forgotten to close the curtains in her room, so she woke up by the sun shining in her face. She told us what she had for breakfast and that Ms. Lucy became angry at some guy namen Colin. She told us which classes she had that day and how she hated some of her teachers. She continued and continued. It was like everything she told us happened yesterday. It was amazing, but impossible. 'How do you know she isn't lying, or improvising?' I said. Everybody looked at me and I realized I just interrupted some historical moment. 'Because,' Emily said, 'we can see if someone is lying or improvising.'
'Well, that's almost as creepy as knowing what you did on a random day five years ago.' I said.
'Can't you guys do that?' Alex sounded really suprised.
'No,' Emily said, 'you're the first one ever that answered the question without guessing, lying or improvising.'
'So, I'm not normal?' Alex said.
'No one here is normal.' I told her. I looked like she calmed down a little. 'Maybe you are a kid of Athena and is this some special gift of her.' I continued.
'But she didn't know the answers of the other questions.' Another girl said. Some of her siblings agreed. It was true. Alex wasn't as smart as the Athena kids.
'Guessing doesn't work with things like this. So what, she knows the answer on one question. That doesn't make you a child of Athena.' Emily decided.
'Wow, whats wrong with her?' I whispered to the guy next to me.
'I guess she's jealous. Afraid that someone will take her place or something.' The guy answered.
'But she isn't your cabin leader right? That's Andy.'
'Yeah, true, but if Andy randomly dies or got lost or doesn't want to be cabin leader any more, Emily will take his place.'
'But isn't she too young?'
'Dude, she's seventeen!'
'What! You've got to be kidding me!'
The guy laughed.
'No man! I know, she looks younger than she is, but she can be really intimedating.'

Alex and I walked to the Hermes cabin. It had been a heavy day for her. She looked still a little confused. 'Hey,' I said, 'don't worry about it, there's probaly some logical reason that you remember all that stuff. Just get some rest and maybe you get claimed tommorrow and everything becomes clear.' I told her.
'You don't understand.'
'Offcours I do! I know, a first day is really hard, but you're not the only one. We all had our first day and we all survived, so don't worry.'
'Finn, I don't want to be different from the ones that are different.'
