Glamorous Demigods

"ANGELINA!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
The thing, whatever it was, was headed towards my apartment. Angelina huffed and puffed her way over to me. I quickly looked her up and down. Her blonde hair was slicked back in a ponytail, but was frizzed up. She wore a teal top under a white camisole, and jeans with Keds.
"Okay, what do ya-AHHHH!!!" Angelina screeched as the thing, monster I had figured out by now, lunged at her once more.
Its gruesome yet beautiful scales glistened as the sun started to set, but its eyes were like giant street lights, lighting up the dark alley. I gripped tightly onto my Gucci brand bag, then did the dumbest thing.
I threw it.
The edge of the bag caught the monster's eye, and it exploded into yellow dust stuff.
"Thanks a lot, Angie!" I said sarcastically. That girl didn't have any backbone whatsoever.
Angelina just stared at me in awe.
"Wow...I could never do that." She mumbled absentmindedly.
I shrugged. "Whatever, Barbie doll. My mom's expecting me." I stormed out of the alleyway, leaving Angie standing there.

Later, when I was staring at the TV (which was on Judge Judy by the way), I started to think about what had happened earlier. These monster attacks had been happening at least once a week for a couple months now, ever since I turned 11. Percy, my half-friend, half-boyfriend, had been acting weird since I turned 11 also. Like, whenever I said I was going to walk home from school by myself, or even with Angie, he insisted to come with us, or me. Whenever I tried to get an answer out of him about why he was coming, he got really evasive, and I ignored it. But I don't really care for people who don't answer my questions.
"Kiki! Get to bed!" My mom yelled to me from her office.
"But mom! It's not even a school night!" I replied.
"Still! I know how much you like to wake up early!" She argued.
I sighed. "Fine. Night mom!" I told her.
I turned off my giant flatscreen TV, turned off my bedside lamp, and went to bed.

I woke up to the sound of pattering rain. I slowly sat up and looked out my glass window. I grinned.
"MOM! RAIN DAY!" I screamed.
My mom hurried into my room. "Honeysorrybutwecantdothatthisisanemergancycomequick!" she said, and quickly shuffled back out of the room.
I hopped out of bed, and brushed my hair. I then slipped on my slippers (haha), and ran to the dark kitchen. I heard a thundering noise, and immediately rolled my eyes.
"Mom, it's just thunder. What's the big deal?"
"Kiki...Look out the window." My mom tentavly backed up.
"Ooookkkayyy?" I pattered to the window.
What I saw scared the crap out of me, and I did what any logical person would do.
I screamed.
