Glamorous Demigods

I backed up slowly from the window.
"What is that thing, mom?" I squeaked.
"Well...you know how monsters have been coming up when you are around?" My mom started. "That means that, well, you're a demigod. Your father is very well-known, and that's why monsters are everywhere."
I rolled my eyes. "Mom, It's not even April Fool's day. Why are you saying this?"
"Kiki, this is not a joke, but you don't have to worry about it hurting you because - there they are!"
My mom ran to the window, staring in awe at some people fighting the monster. They had...swords in their hands?
A little dwarf-dude was using an odd-looking sword to swipe at the chest, and a blonde girl with a large head cut was standing on a tree and stabbing the head. I spotted Angelina using a bronze sword helping the dwarf-dude. The other thing there was like, half human, half horse. I think those were called centaurs or something. I raced downstairs to join the people (and centaur) trying to kill the monster. As soon as I arrived outside, the monster had dissolved into yellow dust, and some settled on my hair.
"Wha...?" I asked, openmouthed about what just happened.
The dwarf-dude sauntered up towards me.
"Dude! That was one heck of a monster. How'd that thing even get there?" He kept pestering me with questions until the centaur came up and put his hand on the dwarf-dude's shoulder.
"Leo, that will be enough. We don't want to overwhelm her." The centaur turned to me. "Come with us. You will be safe."
I backed up. "No way. Come with a random bunch of strangers to Zeus knows where? Nope. Not happenin'."
"Hey! This 'random bunch of strangers' just kicked some monster butt!" Leo interjected.
"LEO!" The blondie yelled, then came up to me.
"Kiki, trust me, come with us. Its for the best."
I shrugged. "Fine. Lead the way."
"Annabeth, you lead." Angelina said.
Chiron, Annabeth, Angelina, Leo, and I all started trekking towards some sort of safe place. We approached a hill that was supposedly barren, but when we got up to the top, I noticed that the place was radiating with magic of some sorts.
Once I walked through the entryway, people started crowding up to me and my entourage.
"Guys, step away." A tough-looking, but pretty, girl emerged from the crowd. "I'll help her out."
Chiron stepped up. "It has been decided. Behold, Kiki Ferguson, daughter of Zeus. Thalia, go to the big house and get a starter kit, then come back at once."
"Whoa whoa wait." I said. "I come in here, and you just expect me to believe in gods? Those things are myths we learn in history class!"
Thunder rumbled from inside the camp.
"Kiki, its best not to call the gods myths. After all, the only reason you are here is because you are daughter of at least a minor god or goddess." Chiron tried to calm me down. "You'll get used to it. Everyone, leave and continue with classes. I will be along for archery shortly."
Chiron started walking away from the scene as the crowd dispersed.
"Hello? What about my cut?" Annabeth yelled.
"Chiron didn't hear you," Leo said back. "Come on, lets go to the Big House Hospital. I'm sure there's some ambrosia and nectar there."
As the remaining people left, I started to wander off to look for the Thalia girl.
