The Problem At The Mets Game...
Chapter 1: Autumn
"Okay kids! I just want to remind you that for tomorrow's field trip, you all have to be on your best behavior. We all have to stick together." Autumn's teacher, Mrs. Smith said.
BRRRIIINNNGG!
"Autumn!" Autumn's best friends, Lily and Kevin ran up to her in the hallway while everyone was getting ready to pack up at the lockers.
"Hey guys. What's up?" She asked.
"Oh nothing. We just wanted to know if you wanted to sit with us at the stadium tomorrow. I'm so excited! You have no idea!" Lily was so ecstatic. Autumn could understand why, too. Her grade was the first sixth grade class to ever go to a major league baseball game at their middle school. Everyone was so excited.
"Yeah... I-I think it is going to be... fun. Listen. I'm not sure I want to go. I don't really care if I don't get my money back or anything. I just don't think I'm gonna like it that much." Autumn wasn't going to tell Kevin or Lily about the dream she had the night before. She didn't want to scare them or make them think she was a lunatic who has to go to the nut house.
"Aww come on Autumn. You have to go. It's not like you have to watch the game. We can hang out and eat food." Kevin tempted Autumn with the one thing she couldn't resist; food.
"Well, I guess if there's-"
"YYAAYY! Oh my gosh I can't wait!" Lily yelled so loud everyone stopped and stared at us.
"Kevin, Lily, you can talk to Autumn later. You have to pack up now and go. You'll be late to the buses." Mrs.Fisher looked sternly at their little group. She swore that math teacher had it in for them, but none of them knew why.
"Well, I really have to get home and finish all this homework. What do our teachers think we are? Little Albert Einstiens or something? Jeez..." Kevin walked away muttering something under his breath.
"See you later." Lily said and walked away.
Boy, I really hope that dream won't come back to haunt me, Autumn thought.
