The Problem At The Mets Game...
Chapter 13: Lily
After spending the entire battle locked Cabin Six, Lily finally worked up the courage to come out. When she did, she was stopped by a tall woman with dark hair and glasses.
"You are a failure." She said. "I am humiliated to call you my daughter."
"Athena?" Lily asked.
"Yes." The woman replied. "There will be a new quest, and you will fight. You will save the gods, and maybe then I can be proud of you."
Lily felt a sudden rush of anger.
"No." She said. "Fight your own battles. The gods could easily take down any threat they are faced with. Don't drag us into this."
Athena grabbed Lily by the collar of her shirt.
"I may be your mother, but I will never ever call you my daughter. You disgrace me."
With that, she vanished.
"Stupid Athena." Lily muttered. "Stupid gods. I want to make them pay. They will feel my pain."
It was fortunate for Lily that Gabby happened to be walking by, and had heard Lily muttering.
"Hey, if you hate the gods, these are really good people to talk to."
She handed Lily a list of people.
"Thanks." Lily said.
But, Jake had also heard Lily.
"You won't get away with this." He said. "I'm going to tell Chi-"
He never got to finish his sentence, because Lily stabbed her dagger into his stomach.
"Well," She said. "That's one less problem I have to worry about."
