"Nicely done, folks!" Lily cried when she reappeared back in her lair. "I think that should scare 'em."
She looked around at her band of rebel demigods. Gabby and Will were there. She was happy about that; Gabby and Will were some of her only friends at camp. Drew from Aphrodite was there, too. Lily didn't really like Drew, but she was ruthless and her charmspeak came in handy. Pollux from Dionysus was also present. He wanted revenge on the gods because of the death if his brother, Castor. Finally, there was Cody, Kevin's long lost brother. It was Cody who helped Lily vanish at camp.

One day earlier
Lily was trying to find the cave that Gabby had advised her to use as a lair. She was stumbling through the woods, not having a clue where to go. After a few hours of walking she came across a camp fire. A boy with shaggy brown hair and dirty, loose clothes sat by the fire.
"Cody?" She said in amazement.
"Lily!" He cried back.
The two old friends hugged.
"What are you doing here?" Lily asked. "You went missing three years ago."
"My dad kicked me out. He said that mom told him I was a failure because I couldn't do magic. I had no idea what he was talking about. He said that Kevin was already showing signs of his powers, but I wasn't. I hate him and Hecate. There the reason I have to live here." Cody said.
"Can you do magic now?" Lily asked.
"Yeah."
Cody waved his hand, and the fire blew out. Then, he waved it again, and it returned.
"I know the feeling of not being wanted." Lily said. "Athena rejected me. But, I can promise you the downfall of the gods if you join me."
Cody thought about this for a moment.
"Can you promise me that I will get to see Hecate's ichor across the floor of the throne room?" He asked.
"Every drop." Lily smiled, evilly.
"Then, yes, I'll do it."
"Great." Said Lily. "Now we just need to find that cave."
"Cave?" Cody asked. "I think I know what your looking for."

Present
"We are going to the Underworld tomorrow." Lily said. "I have to speak to Hades."
"I can get us in." Will volunteered. "Demeter is Persephone's mother. I can say that I need to speak with my sister."
"Or, I could just charmspeak the guard into letting us in." Drew offered.
"Thanks for the offer, Will, but Drew's option is more reliable." Lily said.
Gabby had been silent until then.
"Why are we speaking to Hades?" She asked. "What's your plan, Lily?"
Lily grinned.
"You'll have to wait and find out." She replied. "Pick your sleeping arrangements. We have a big day tomorrow."
