I awoke on straw with a blanket draped over me. A little girl was sitting next to my straw bed briading my hair. When she realized i awoke she stopped briading and smiled."Hi I'm Annie Edward's little 6 year old sister. Welcome home. Whats your name?"
"My name is Mia. Why did you say 'Welcome home?'"
Annie's smile grew bigger"you and your sister get to stay here for a while probably round 3 months."
I looked down and realized i had a silk pink nightgown on. Where was my jacket and my jeans? I always slept in my jeans. Always."Hey Annie where are my clothes?"
Annie looked sadly at the ground." Your jacket was the only thing that didn't get torn up, I washed it and i was finishing up sewing you your jeans." She hurried off to a corner with fabric piled high a small sewing machine.
I made a makeshift skirt with my blanket. And tried to put weight on my ankle it worked and i started walking on it. From her corner Annie asked ," Has the cast hardened yet?"
I looked down and saw a black little cast sitting around my ankle making it sturdy. " Yeah it is hard." I reply.
"Good then take it off it has healed."Annie says back.
I wiggle my foot out of it confused, amazingly it felt fine.
"wow" I whisper.
"Ok now that it is off eat the soup on the table, and wake Edward."
I do just that.
