Time's Daughter

A Chance Meeting

I walk down a long dark hallway. I can see another version of myself. An older version. My black hair is short, like it had been three years ago. I wear a long black trench coat with the hood pulled up so my face is hidden. I shudder remembering the last time I had worn that jacket.
The other me raises her hand. A glowing golden pocket watch floats above her hand. She smiles. The clock vanishes and tendrils of the golden light started to eat the room. Aging it into a ancient ruins. A deep voice laughs. "It's almost time, Angel!" it calls as I wake up.

I open my eyes. I'm back in my bed room. There's a pile of books in one corner, and my computer is still playing the upbeat music of 5SOS. A secret of mine--I'd never tell anyone that I listened to them or 1D. As far as anyone was allowed to know I listened to Alternate Rock.
I look at my hands. I can remember once have used that power and quite often, too. But when I went straight three years ago, the power just suddenly vanished. A knock sounds at the door and I hear my roommate and best friend, Kimmi, on the other side of the door. "Time to get up, Ang!" she calls. "Aaron wanted to meet him at the field this morning."
I sigh. Aaron was my twin brother. But no one was ever able to tell that we were even siblings. He has light brown hair with little flecks of blonde in it and green eyes. The traits all four of my siblings have, but none that I have. I have black hair and brown eyes.
I sigh again. The field is basically the football field--where the football players are at this time in the morning. I never get along with them, and neither does my brother. I am an arts major at NYU, while Aaron am a science major.
And there is always a large crowd as the three most popular boys that the school are there. Percy Jackson, Jason Grace, and Nico di Angelo. Every girl in school wants to date one of them. Percy and Jason are taken though, so just about every girl in school has her eyes on Nico. I wouldn't lie--so do I. He was cute, and most definitely my type.
I always saw him in the library, when I went to go study or just be alone, but I never had to courage to talk to him, courtesy of social anxiety and just being plan awkward. I groan slightly, and now I was likely to be teased right in front of him.

Aaron is trying to build a miniature rocket. Well, not really, he's already build it, he just needs to test it and he wanted me to hold the camera. I set my bag down and grab the camera he's managed to borrow from the film professor--on one condition--I had to be the one to use it. I sigh. I guess there is some points to having a sibling who once studied film.
I position the camera carefully, trying to ignore the people behind me and failing miserably. They were just too loud.
"I don't think you're going to be able to hear anything in the video over their noise," I tell my brother.
He shrugs. "I don't need sound to show that the rocket works," he mutters, lighting the fuse.
I sniff the air, it smells like gun powder--a dangerous substance. "Who gave you permission to use gunpowder?" I ask, suspicious.
My brother doesn't answer. I groan. "Please tell me you are at least using it properly," I mutter too late as the rocket blast off with the sound of a gunshot.
The crowd goes silent, as my brother and I fall, dropping the camera and shattering his glasses. The rocket veers off course going straight for the group of foot ball player. I gulp and run towards them. I have no idea what to do, but I had to something.
"Get down!" I shout, trying to figure out how to get it back on course. I wonder if I could manage to hit it in just the right spot, I could change the course of the rocket before it hit something.
I curse heavily, slamming past several heavy football players. I pull a book out of my bag and toss it at the rocket. It somehow manages to hit the rocket right, and it veers back up at the sky.
I sigh and pick up my book. All eyes are on me. Including his. Nico's. I turn red and start to walk back towards my brother. "It will come back down," I say. "I suggest to clear out for a bit."
My brother watches me as walk back towards him, quite annoyed. "Next time," I bite at him. "Don't you gun powder."
I walk off towards the library. I have another couple of hours before my first class begins. That's went I notice someone behind me. I turn and drop my books. It's Nico!
"Nice throw," he says smiling at me.
"Um," I stammer. "I-uh-th--thanks?"
He laughs. "I'm Nico," he says. "And you are?"
"I-uh-name-um--it's---Angel." I somehow manage to get my name out. I want to leave. I'm only embarrassing myself. I turn red and grab my books, using them to hide my face. I see Kimmi out of the corner of my eye, sipping on some Starbucks drink. I run towards her as fast as I can. Leaving Nico in the dust.

Notes

So I rewrote it--made some changes and what no---what do you think?

I would just have her kill Kuro by using to much power at once and exploding.
