After I stopped hyperventilating, about everything, Joy and I went for a walk. While we were lying down on the beach, we told each other about our hobby's, favorite stuff, and basically anything we felt like talking about. When suddenly, we both were drenched in water. It didn't help that it was the middle of winter. Joy, luckily, was wearing a pretty red dress, a long white coat, tights, boots, gloves, and a hat. I, sadly, was only wearing a quarter length sleeve shirt, a very thin sweater, jeans, and flats. I was freezing. In a matter of seconds, I couldn't hear anything, and collapsed. Then I couldn't see. I could feel, but nothing else. I felt someone carrying me somewhere. Then I blacked out.

All I could feel was coldness. "So cold." I tried to say, but my teeth was chattering so much, you could barely tell. I then realized that my whole body was shaking. Then I saw a bright light, then darkness.


Joy's POV

I was in the infirmary with Caitlyn, squeezing her hand as hard as possible. Then she mutters something. One of kids from Apollo's cabin, then checks her pulse. I was praying to every god and goddess I could think of. Then the kid shook his head. She's dead.

I am going to get Percy for this. He thought it was funny. I didn't realize I was crying. I was so deep in my thoughts I didn't realize I ran into someone. I shook my head trying to clear my head. Then I noticed who it was. Annabeth.
"What's wrong, Joy?" She asks.
"She's dead! All thanks to your stupid boyfriend!"
Her eyes get really wide. "Who died? Who did Percy kill?" She asked slowly.
Then I broke down. I sat on the ground crying. Annabeth sits next to me, and hugs me.
"Sssshhhh..." She said calming me down.
I look at her and say "Do you know how much she has been through? Her dad died 2 days ago. The same day they figured out her best friend has cancer, and they figured out she has hemophilia. That very same day her boyfriend dumped her. Then not even a day later she finds out she is a demigod. Oh, and not to mention, she lost a pinkie.
"Oh my gods. Lets go find Percy." She said shocked.
