Ashes

My shirt kept getting caught on prickly bushes and branches. I had to move around unseen, or else i'd have even more people asking even more questions. So I decided to move around outside of camp to avoid detection. There was only one person who would know what was attacking, and actually tell me whats going on.

"Julia!" I said, pulling her into a thick push near the pathway she was walking on. She wrestled with me for a short time before realizing it was me.

"Allen!" She said, slapping me in the face. "What's gotten into you?"

"No time to explain, ma'am," I said nervously. "I need to know who killed Josh." She slapped my face again.

"And why should I tell you?"

"Because," I said, holding my cheek. "I want to get the people who did this to him." She contemplated for a moment before shrugging.

"It's your funeral. I can't directly tell you, even in secrecy. But if you have this," She pulled out a small purple paper. "You can get into the prison's highest security. Just show the guards this piece of paper, and they will let you go anywhere inside of the prison."

"Why do I need to go to the prison?" I asked, taking the paper from her hand.

"Ask for prisoner 1165B. He'll tell you everyhting you need to know."
