One Less Enemy
Chapter 4
After Rachel left, Octavian got up, and dressed himself in his clothes from yesterday. When he walked out of the cave, patting down his hair, did he see the giants. There were four of them, but the two camps combined couldn't overtake them. They were just too strong and big. He frantically searched for Rachel, and saw her fighting a giant with Reyna and several other campers. He grabbed a fallen sword, and ran over to help them. But when he was a few yards away, Rachel was hit by the giant's large hand, and flew several feet before crashing into a tree trunk. She didn't get up. Octavian rushed over to her, and pulled out a Ziploc bag of ambrosia and stuffed a few cubes of it down her throat. She instantly opened her eyes, and hugged him. He closed his eyes, trying to keep the tears that had suddenly sprung to his eyes. They pulled away, and they kissed, happy for each other to be alive. Rachel grabbed her dagger, and they dove back into the battle against the giants.
Reyna had seen the whole exchange through glimpses during the battle. Rachel and Octavian had seemed so unlikely.
The giants proved to be harder to kill than anything they'd ever seen before. Mainly because Rachel was only as tall as their ankles, and couldn't stab anything else.
Notes
It's been a while since I've been on here. Wow. I need to get down to business...
Hope that was good! It had to be short because I was on a time limit. :)
Anyway, I added some more. School sucks. :( Sorry for the ultra long wait. :(
Alright, so there is only a sentence, but it WILL be completed. I promise.
Love it! Please update!
