The Rebirth

They postponed the wedding for a year and a half.
But the wait was over.
They’d both been broken.
And they survived.
Sunshine lit up both of their faces, making them glow. Percy and Jason and Leo all stood up and whooped. Hazel and Reyna and Piper and Annabeth all cried. Frank patted both of them on the backs. Hades and Persephone watched quietly from the corner, unseen by all, both with just the slightest of smiles on their faces that they’d both deny they had later.
It was a blinding blue day, a sunny spring day. Nico, dressed sharply in his crispest of suits, looked up, his hands over his eyes. Funny. Sunny days didn’t annoy him so much anymore.
A girl looked down at him, one with ebony wild curls and bronze skin and warm, deep eyes. She sent down her love, blowing him a kiss.
And when they both said “I do”, the Fates tied two strings together- both a gleaming, sunshine gold.
