PERCY POV

( 3 days later).

I kept hacking and slashing at the dummies in the sword fighting arena, anything to keep my mind on other things. I had destroyed every dummy in the arena. I looked around at all the mess on the floor and sighed. Nothing was distracting me and now Chiron would put me on the dummy making job. Suddenly a voice spoke behind me.

"You finished all of them. There is nothing left for me"

I turned around and saw Sam standing there, frowning at the mess I made. Ever since they came back from the quest, Sam had been very silenced and subdued. Stacey was her best friend since kindergarten." Oh, hi" I said, not knowing what to say to her." Why are you blaming yourself for what happened? " she asks me. "I'm not..." I start, but she interrupts me." Ha. Anybody seeing you will think that you were responsible for everything" she tells me. I only look at her, not knowing what to say. She just walks past me and starts practicing on whatever remains of the dummies. I walk to the woods to search for Mrs. O'Leary.

I see Nico standing in a clearing, summoning the dead. I go and stand next to him to see what he is doing. He notices me and nods his head." Did you come to know anything?" I ask, praying for a positive answer.

He shakes his head and says," The spirits are not able to sense anything. They are not even able to enter Tartarus, which is something that never happens. Some magic is at work, but I don't know what it is".
" Could..." I start but he shakes his head. "Nope, that's impossible and you know it" . " How do you know what I was thinking about?" I say, irritated.

"If I would have been in your place, I would have been thinking of the same thing. You balmost went insane the first time" he replies. "Bye, its curfew" I tell him, hearing the conch horn, and walk to the Poseidon cabin.

I try to sleep but it stubbornly stays away. I keep thinking why can't I sleep when I realize that it was too quiet. Stacey used to keep humming songs in her sleep, it always made me drowsy and relaxed. After about an hour, I finally fall asleep and dreams find me.

In my dream, I find myself back in Tartarus. But something is wrong. It looks ten times worse. Somehow in the back of my mind, I know this is the way Stacey is seeing it. I see Stacey fighting of at least four laistrygonians. She attacks one of them and it explodes in dust. The remaining three come towards her, she throws her sword down and sits next to it, folding her hands. The laistrygonians lumber towards her when a voice stops them.

Don't give up so easily. We still have lots to go. Show me what u are made up of. I feel my blood chill at the voice. Something tells me this must be Titania.

"What do you want, Titania? Isn't this enough for you" Stacey shouts at the voice. Now, now. Didn't your friends survive this place? You too are a demigod. Do your magic. " I am not like them. They are even more brave" Stacey shouts back.

What about Alexandra? You surely have the blood of the noble Pendragon's? Titania mused. "Don't even take my mothers name, you- " she shouted out in another language and stood up, sword in hand. She suddenly faltered and lost her balance. The giants got ready to attack her while she was weak and a giant staff swept them away and my dream changed.
This time, I was standing in a huge hall with plush sofas and a crackling ng fireplace. An old man was standing in front of the fireplacefireplace, his hands folded behind his back. He had gray eyes, gray hair and a gray beard. His eyes held a kind of serenity as well as intelligence. A woman who looked as old as my mother was talking feverishly to the man. She had long long brown hair and hazel eyes. She had a kind face. "How did Stacey end up there? How did this happen? What would Alex say? Holy Hecate, how did she go away from my eyes?" she sat down in one of the sofas and put her head in her hands.

The old man sat down next to her and spoke to her in a kind voice, "Tamara, just take it easy. We could not do anything. We are all helpless against Titania when she makes her mind".

" But I am her godmother, Nicodemus! I should have not let Ryan take her! I should have kept her with me" the lady named Tamara said.

The old man, Nicodemus, smiled at her and said," he is her uncle. Her legal relative. We could not do anything". She looked up at him and said," But what could be happening to her in that hell? She will die there" Tamara cried.

Nicodemus turned serious and said," Titania will not let her die so easily. She will torture her to the extent that she will crave death, but will not die". My blood chilled at those words and I suddenly got up, sweating and panting. It was three in the morning. I thought about what Nicodemus had said. If what he said was true, then Stacey was in deep danger.

( 1 week later)

I tossed aside the covers and put on some clothes. No matter how much I tried, I could not sleep. I kept getting the feeling that I should be near the sea shore. I jogged to the beach and sat down on the sand. There was still no sign of Stacey from the past one week. I kept looking at the waves when I saw something get washed away by the current. I got up and saw what it was. A body was lying face down in the sand. With long black hair. My heart started thudding loudly as I turned to see who it was. My heart skipped a beat.

It was Stacey.

But she was looking as though she was close to death. Her face was gaunt and pale. Her cheeks were sunken and there was an unhealthy palor about her. I quickly took her to a sitting position and gave her a square of ambrosia which I found in my pocket. After feeding it to her, I picked her up and started walking towards the Big House. I saw a figure running towards me. It was Nico. He stared at Stacey as though seeing her for the first time. "Go wake up Chiron" I told him. He kept staring at me. "Go!" I urged him. He ran towards the Big House and knocked at the door. The lights came on and Chiron came out in pajamas. He stared at Stacey. Then he seemed to find his voice and told me to bring her to the infirmary. I lay her down on one of the beds and got nectar. After a sip, her eyes fluttered open and she stared around her.

"What am I doing here?" she crooked. "Your at camp" I tell her. She blinks for a few seconds and says just one word," Water".

I quickly get her a glass of water and she chujs it down. "How did I get here?" she asks. "No idea. You were washed by the sea" I answer.

"But..." she says, and Chiron interrupts," We will talk tomorrow about all this. Right now you should get some rest" he tells her. Stacey's eyes widen at him and she asks him, "Are those curlers in your tail?". I look at his tail and sure enough, there are curlers in them. I stifle a laugh and Chiron says, " No child. You need to sleep". Stacey dosent protest and falls in a deep sleep. Chiron looks at Nico and me and says,"I want you to tell the cabin counsellors for a meeting tomorrow". We nod and go out.

The next morning, all the counsellors gather around the ping-pong table. Sam flies at Stacey and starts crying and laughing at the same time. Stacey gives her a wry smile, but her eyes are fixed on Chiron, as though asking him a silent question. After everybody calms down and I introduce Stacey to Jason, Piper, Leo and Calypso, the questioning begins.

Sam narrows her eyes at Stacey and asks," What were those weird sparks in your hand and who is Titania?"

Stacey hesitates to answer but Clarisse speaks, "Let her tell if she wants to". Chiron says, " They should know, child. Anyways your secret is out. Tell them"

"What secret? And who are you" I ask Stacey. She takes a deep breath and says,

"I am a sorceress".
