PERCY POV

"No way am I letting two children of Poseidon stay on one team", Clarisse growled and looked at Chiron, who was sitting at the head of the table, overlooking the formation of teams for capture the flag. It had been two days since we brought Stacey back to camp. I preferred the term rescued her, but she insisted brought her here, while Nico stayed silent the entire time we fought. Little traitor.

"I want any one of them on my team" Clarisse demanded, "They have names, you know" Stacey shot back, annoyed and Clarisse nodded and said, "I want either Stacey or Prissy on my team". " My name is not Prissy" I said, clenching my teeth. "Whatever" she waved her hand.

"Alright, you can take Stacey and Jason on your team" Chiron said. Clarisse nodded but Jason shook his head and said, "No way am I going to stay on the same team as Stacey". " Hey, I'm not that bad" Stacey protested and Jason snorted, "Yeah, you're not bad, you're a horror". Stacey threw an apple at him, which struck him right on the forehead. He scowled at her and she promptly stuck out her tongue. Jason was about to say something when Piper interrupted,

" Alright guys, calm down". Her charm speak washed over them and they stopped fighting. " Fine, Clarisse. You can have Nico on your team" Chiron sighed, and she nodded while Stacey and Nico fist bumped. I couldn't help noticing how much Nico had changed. Even after the Giant war, he was not such a social person, but since Stacey had arrived at camp, I came to know there was a different side to him, always ready to prank people along with Stacey. I wondered if out was her influence.

"Percy. Earth to Percy" Leo waved his hand in front if me and I blinked and looked around. "Yes?" I asked and Clarisse snickered while Chiron replied, "Jason and you will lead the blue team, while Clarisse and Annabeth will lead the red team".

" What! Both the war cabins on one team? That is not fair!" I protested and Chiron said, "But your team has more cabins, so it should be fine". " Fine" I huffed and looked at Clarisse and said, "Wait for it".

" Bring it on, punk" she smiled quiet meanly.

NICO POV

"Stacey and you are going for the offense, Nico. Nico, are you listening?" Annabeth called out to me. "Why are the fates so cruel to me? Why did I itself get such Dumbo's on my team?" Clarisse cursed and smacked the back of my head.

"Oow! Go softly with those smacks" I cried. "Did you even listen to what Annabeth told you?" She shrieked and I looked at her blankly, shaking my head. "The fates are just too cruel to me" she muttered and walked off.

"But at least your fate is in their hands, not others" I heard somebody mumble behid me, I turned back and saw Stacey standing there. "What did you mean by that?" I asked her and she looked startled and shook her head,"Nothing".

"You sure?". " Yeah" she replied, fidgeting with a ring in her hand, nervously. "What's that?" I asked her, motioning towards her ring. "This? Its the clan ring, gifted to us once we turn 16 years old. This was my Mom's" she said, and gave it to me. It was a simple silver band, with the engraving of a spear, with a dragon curled around it, breathing fire.

"Its Chaos silver" she explained as she took it from me and put it on, when the conch horn blew, signalling the start of the game. We straightened our armor and rushed into the forest. After searching for a while, Clarisse rushed at us and almost ran over Stacey.

"Woah there! What happened?" Stacey said and she panted, "The other flag, its near the creek. Go there, now!" She commanded us and we missed and went off. Half way there, Stacey doubled over and started gasping and wheezing.

"Stacey? Stacey? You all right?" I asked her, clearly scared out if my mind, when she suddenly looked up and I swear, I jumped 20 feet into the air.

Her eyes had turned yellow, with slits for pupils. They looked so...so...animal like.

"Stacey?" I whispered cautiously, taking a step back from her, when she gasped and her eyes turned their normal green. "What..." I asked when she burst out.

"Peleus. He's sending out pleas for help. We have to go. Now!"

"Wait. How did you know?" I asked her as she got up and started running towards Thalia's pine tree. "I don't know. Has to be my connection with dragons. After all, that's how I got my family name". " Stacey, wait" I pulled her to a stop and mad her look in my eyes.

"If we leave just like that, Clarisse is going to kill us" I tried to explain, but she pulled her hand away and said, "And Peleus, who guards the camp, is calling for help. What if there are disturbances there? Think about it". I had to admit, her explanation was proper. Finally, I relented.

" OK, let's go see. But Clarisse will kill us" I muttered as I ran after her. "Shoot Clarisse" Stacey called behind her back.

We finally reached the line tree, to see a depressing sight. Peleus was lying in his back, wheezing and trying to blow out fire, a huge, gaping around on his stomach, oozing what looked like green poison.

"Peleus!" Stacey cried and went to his side to examine the wound, while I looked around to see if anything was wrong. My gaze went up to the lowest branch, when realization dawned upon me.

"Stacey" I whispered, and she looked up to see where I was looking and gasped

"The Golden Fleece. Its gone"
