Stacey Pendragon-daughter of the sea

JASON POV

"Jason, stay on your guard! The offense team is coming" Percy called out to me, and I straightened my armor, and looked around. Even after 20 minutes, no one came to our post.

"Where are they?" Piper asked next to me, and I shook my head, clearly mystified. Stacey was not one who would delay, especially on this game. Then suddenly, Percy burst out from the trees, waving the other flag! We had won!

Everyone around me started shouting and picked up Percy on their shoulders, cheering, while I looked around for Stacey and Nico, but they were no where to be seen.

"Where were you? We lost, if you mind!" I heard Clarisse at Stacey and Nico, I assumed. She sounded really angry, and everyone crowded around her to see the scene unfolding, and I went too. Stacey and Nico were standing there, Nico looking frightened and Stacey looked like she was ready to burst.

"That's not important. Where is Chiron? I have to talk to him, right now!" Stacey demanded, her voice strained, as though she was trying hard not to shout.

"What is sooo important besides the face that we just lost? Clarisse growled in her face, and her face turned red and she shouted,

"The Golden Fleece is GONE! And you're worried about losing?"

All around me, everyone went silent and then started shouting all together?

"Who took it?"

"Isn't Peleus there to guard it?"

"What is happening? Everyone calm down, what is it Stacey?" Chiron trotted into view and Stacey looked relieved to see him and replied, "The Fleece. She took it". A kind of understanding passed between their eyes and Chiron called out,

" Percy, Annabeth and Nico, you go in one direction to search for it, while Jason, Piper and Leo go in the other direction. Leo? Where is Leo?" I looked around, and Leo came running out of the trees. I now noticed that l had not seen him for a long time.

"Where were you?" Chiron asked him and he just replied, "Nature's call". " Alright, of you all go" Chiron dismissed us. Leo and Piper ran behind me to the gates of camp and looked around, while Leo lit his hand for light and Piper looked in her blade and I flew in the air, trying to look for clues. After searching for close to 15 minutes, it was clear that there were no clues.

"Who could it be?" Piper asked as we headed back to camp, and I just shook my head. "I think we should search near the pine tree" I suggested and Leo scoffed, "Why will be get anything there?".

" Well, the Fleece was there, so we might get a few hints" Piper replied and we ran towards the pine. After we reached, I saw an Apollo camper standing near Peleus and feeding him something.

"You guys got any hints?" He asked us as he saw us, and we shook our head and he continued, "Who ever did it, had poisoned poor Peleus here. Thankfully, Stacey could cure him and now he's fine"

"Stacey? How does she know healing magic?" Piper asked and he shrugged, "Don't know. But she was wearing a ring, and I guess because of that" and went on feeding Peleus while we all got to the job.

I was ready to give up, when something caught my eye. I bent down and took a look at it. It was a patch of orange cloth, from the material used in our camp shirts. My throat went dry and Piper came called me from the other corner. I went over to her and she showed me a vision in her blade.

A boy, wearing an orange T-shirt sneaking near the pine, and took the Fleece from the branch and walked away, Peleus writhing in pain behind him. "Its someone from camp" Piper whispered and I could only look in shock. "We need to tell Chiron" Piper said and I nodded and ran to the Big House and burst into Chiron's office.

Stacey was sitting in front of him and looked up as I burst in and I was shocked by her demeanor. Her face was looking pale and clammy and she looked really tired.

"Chiron, we know who it was" I said and they both sat up. "Who?" They demanded and I gulped and said, "It was someone from camp".

" No. No, no, no" Stacey groaned and sat down on one of the chairs, while Chiron came over to me and kept his hand on my shoulder and asked, "How do you know, Jason?".

" Piper's dagger. It showed a vision and it has not showed a vision since the Giant war" I replied and Stacey looked up, and said, "Nobody at camp would give us away, I'm sure, right Chiron?" She sounded as though she was assuring herself.

"I hope so, Stacey" Chiron said back, and looked at me and said, "Take me to where you had the vision". I nodded and walked out if the office, with Stacey and Chiron behind me. Stacey fell into step with me and I noticed she was slightly loosing her balance. " Stacey, go back to your cabin. You need a good night's rest" Chiron told her from behind and she shook her head and said, "I'm fine".

" No, you are not. Go to your cabin" Chiron said in a slightly stern voice and she huffed and went towards cabin 3, while I looked back at Chiron and asked him, "Is it really true that Stacey cured Peleus?"

"Yes, child" he answered and I further questioned him, "How did she do it? She is not a child of Apollo".

" She is not a normal sorcerer-demigod. Do not underestimate her. She has the blood of three powerful gods in her".

"Three gods?" I asked him, clearly shocked. Chiron suddenly seemed to realize his mistake and said, "Forget I told you that, Jason".

" But..."

"Even Stacey does not know of it. Some things deserve to be kept a secret till the time is right. Swear it on the Styx you will not tell anything".

I gulped and said, "I swear it on the Styx".
