ANNABETH POV

Percy and I were walking in the woods, talking and kissing. It was a week since we had returned from New Rome for our summer vacation and Percy and I were studying in the college there for the first year and I was savoring every moment at camp. Suddenly we heard a loud roar and a scream. It seemed to be coming from the beach.

We ran to see what was going on. I saw the biggest sea-serpent I had ever seen in my life, thrashing around its tail, and clung to its tail was a girl. "I have never seen such a huge serpent ever!" Percy said next to me. The monster suddenly jerked its tail, causing the girl to lose her grip on it. She quickly grabbed its neck and yanked out its fang. It screamed and began going down. She kept stabbing it and it went under the water. Percy jumped in the water and brought back the girl. She had passed out.

Everyone crowded around us and Chiron trotted over to us and said "It was good you went to her rescue. Or else it might have been too late". "She had already finished it off. What do you think her age is? 15?" Percy asked Chiron. "I don't know. But we will see. Annabeth, can you look to her? Piper will help you." Chiron asked me. "Sure" I said. Percy carried her to the infirmary and laid her down on a bed. Piper came and asked me "What can I do?" "Can you get me the nectar? She has a pretty bad cut on her side. I might have to stitch it." I replied. After stitching her cut, I noticed a weird scar on her hand. It looked like wisps of smoke. I showed it to Chiron, but he didn't say anything, though it was clear that it bothered him. After two days, the girl got up.

She groaned at tried to sit up, but she was too weak. I helped her sit up and gave her some nectar. She drank it up and looked around. Then she looked at me and I could hardly contain my gasp.

She was so beautiful. Her eyes seemed to be shifting colors from sea green to blue to gray. She had black, glossy hair that fell over her face and she had high cheekbones. "What place is this?" she asked me in a soft, lilting voice. I couldn't place her accent. "Are you feeling OK?" I asked her. "Yeah, I'm fine. But what place is this?" she answered.

"This is camp half blood. The safest place for people like you. I'm Annabeth." I said, "I'm Stacey. And what do you mean by people like me? I know I'm not normal, but many people have dyslexia and ADHD, right?" she asked. "This is a place for demi-gods. Half god, half human." I said. I waited for her to process all this. She just nodded and said "So I am a demi-god?" was all that she asked. "Come along, I'll show you around". She tried to get up but stumbled. I quickly caught her and helped her to walk out of the Big House.

Percy came up to the us and kissed me on the cheek. "Hi, I'm Percy. You fine?" he asked Stacey. "Yes, I'm Stacey." she smiled. "Which accent is that?" Percy asked her. "I'm Scottish. Are you the boy who...." she asked. "Yup. Nice meeting you. I've got a sword fighting class. Catch you later" saying that he went away. I showed Stacey around camp for the morning and introduced her to everyone. She seemed like a nice person. There was a kind of aura about her that demanded respect. She seemed interested in the sword fighting arena, canoe lake and lava mountain. I was mesmerized by her beauty. Whenever I got the chance I would just stare at her.

"What are you looking at?" she asked me suddenly, breaking me from my trance. We were standing in the woods, looking at Peleus. I quickly looked away. "Nothing. I was just thinking.". "Who do you think is my father? Because my mother was mortal, 100%." she asked me. "I don't know. Maybe he will claim you at the bonfire. Anyways, who do you live with?" I asked her.

"My aunt and uncle." she said quietly. I guessed her mothers death was a sore subject for her. I thought of a way to change the subject when I spotted Nico coming out of the shadows. "Hey, Nico!" I called out. He glanced in our direction and came forward. I noticed Stacey observing him as he came towards. "Hi, Annabeth." he said. "Hi, meet Stacey. She's a new camper". He shook hands with her and asked whether I knew where Chiron was. Then went away. "He is the son of Hades." I tell Stacey. She simply nodded. We heared the horn signalling dinner. "C'mon, its dinner" I told her.

PERCY POV

I saw Annabeth leading the new girl, Stacey, to the bonfire. Annabeth then spotted me in the crowd. She waved to me and came towards me. She came and kissed me. "Is your babysitting period over?" I asked her. She lightly punched me on my arm and said, "I was not babysitting. I was just showing her around camp because some people were too busy to bother".

We sat down and I noticed Stacey sitting among another few campers. "'Why don't you call her here? She seems lost" I told Annabeth. Annabeth motioned to her to come join us. She gratefully joined us. I noticed her eyes changing color like the sea, from green to blue to gray. Then the Apollo cabin start singing campfire songs. I see that Stacey just smiling and not joining the singing. "You dont know how to sing?" I asked her. "I do, but I dont want to" she simply replied.

After the sing-along, Chiron made an announcement. "We all know that a new camper has joined us today" he motioned for Stacey to come near. She went to him and he introduced her to everybody. Then suddenly there was a flash of light and a glowing green trident appeared over Stacey's head. Everyone gasped and Chiron stared at her. Then he bowed before her and everybody followed suit and he said " Poseidon, earth shaker, storm-bringer, Father of horses, God of the seas. Hail, Anastasia Pendragon, daughter of Poseidon".

I have a sister.
