Ivy love

I use to have a normal life, really i did;even with my ADD and Dyslexia I had a somewhat normal a life.

Maybe if i hadn't gone to school that day my life would have been normal as always, but I didn't do that and looking back on all of the crap that happen to me recently I wish I had, then maybe the heartache wouldn't be so bad and i could go back to being normal.

My day started out same as it always did, me running through the halls of Saint James private school,trying not to be late for my first period and cursing silently for waking up so late;I had already gotten two demerit's for running late and parking my old black 1967 Chevy Impala in the teachers parking lot and if i got one more i could be facing a detention or worse depending on how Mr. Brunner took it.

I got there and sat down in my seat just a seconds before the bell rung, panting as i got out my notebook and pen. "Cutting it a bit close today, aren't we Ivy." Muttered my friend Jake, i shot him the finger and muttered back a quick 'fuck you Jake.' Before turning to face the board. "Good morning class, today we are going to learn about the Myth of Dionysus,can anyone tell me who Dionysus was and what were some of his powers?" Mr. Brunner asked and i raised my hand.

"Ivy."

"Well Dionysus was the Greek god of wine and revelry, and he had the power to control ivy vines and drive people to insanity." I answered and Mr. Brunner smiled And nodded. "Corrected, now everyone take out your text books and turn to chapter 25 on page 237 and read the passage there and take notes about some of the traits Dionysus had and when everyone's done we will discuss more in depth about the Myth surrounding the god of wine."

the rest of the class went by slowly with talking, debating, and more reading.

I was relived to final be free of my history class so much so that the moment the bell rung i was out of my seat and running out door you think i got shot at,

my next class my favorite class drama.

I loved acting, i dreamed of one day performing on Broadway or starting up a five star dance club after i was done school but for the moment i was stuck in this shitty school, filled with bitchy teens and asshole teachers.

i sighed, oh Well one day soon i would be far away from here and people like my classmates would be begging to get into my clubs or yelling my name as i performed on stage, but for now i was stuck here.

when i final got to the school auditorium, couldn't help but shutter as a feeling of dread shred throw my body, Something was telling me not to got into the auditorium but i didn't listen, i just went inside and sat in on of chairs in the third row, like always.

Our teacher Mr. Blake, stood on the stage waiting till we were all seated and i looked around me and spotted a new girl wearing a blue long sleeved shirt, blue jeans, i squinted and saw that she was wearing a purple wig; I raised an eyebrow and looked at her more closely she was pale but not sickly so, she had a nice figure,blue eyes and in all she was very pretty but the wig throw me off.

I leaned of to whisper at my partner Lisa, Lisa Neil was the schools gossip;If Lisa didn't know how you were the she would have everything from you name to medical history in less then an hour.

"Hey Lisa. Hows the chick with the purple wig?" I asked.

Lisa looked up from her phone and over at the girl in the purple wig and frowned in thought. "I think her names Joy Heartman, she traversed over from Our Lady Of Grace and apparently is starting here today." She said and shrugged, then add coldly.

"My god how the hell wears a fucking purple wig? I mean come on does it look like a night club or something?"

I snorted in agreement and turn to face the stage.

"is everyone here? Good. Today we welcome a new student as Well As began a new play by James Colemen called 'Dancing in The rain.' Its bite of a bore at first but at the end you will All be laughing you tales off, now before we get start on our lines, i'm going to pair you off for some 'trust exercise'. Ivy i Want you with new girl." Mr.Blake said and i shot him a 'your joking right?' Look but he ignored me.

We all got into our groups and i waited for Joy to join me and as she got closer to me,the more i felt that same feeling of dread and fear run up and down my spine. "Hey there, I'm Joy, so what are we doing?" She said and a sweet voice, "well you turn around, fall and i'll catch and we do that for a bit." I said calmly and she laugh the lend over to me until i felt her cool breath on my neck.

"Ivy Hunter, have you ever heard of an... empousa before?" She whispered and i blinked.

"The Greek vampires?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yes...guess what?" She asked softly and I felt my heart stop." I'm an empousa," She said and suddenly my fist connected with her jaw and she went flying back until she flow of the stage and land on the ground, I didn't stick around to find out what would happen; just jump off the stage and started running.

I hit the door and was out in the hall then started to run, as the door shut i heard something slam against it with a 'BANG!!!' I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, and i turned a corner at a dead run and slammed right into Jake.

"Ivy get up we got to go!" Jake yelled and pulled me to my feet, i'm to dazed to question him as he half pulls half drags me out into the parking lot.

"Where the hell are we going?" I final asked as i fumble for my keys, praying to god i didn't leave them in my bag in the auditorium.

"Long Island, hurry she's almost on top of us." Jake said and after finding my keys unlocked my car and slide into the drive seat as Jake dove into The passage seat, I put the keys in the ignition and started the car pealing out of the lot as Joy came running at us, her purple wig was hanging at an odd angle and i could now see her eyes glowing red and long fangs extended;I can see her throw the review window running after us and i just manage to stay a head of her but only just.

"Holy shit! This is supper creepy... i hope to god we don't end up in traffic." I Said and ran a red light and couldn't help think 'crap there go my perfect points on my drivers license.'

As i speed down the highway and in a attempted to lose the crazy vampire, i turn into the downtown exit.

"What the hell are you doing! You heading down town, it will take longer to get to long Island!" Jake yelled and i snarled.

"I know!" I yelled back. "But we have a better chance of losing her this way you dumb ass!"

It took my swerving around several cars and going throw three parking lot buildings but somehow I final lost Joy and made my way to northeast Greene street head towards Long Island.

"Okay dangers over for the moment so start talking or i will pullover right now and throw your ass out of the car." I threaten and Jake swallowed, "you won't believe me." He finally said after a moment.

"After all that, try me."

Jake told me everything, about how my father was a Greek god, how all the myths were real and how there was a camp for Demigods called Camp HalfBlood and how hero's went there to train and learn how to protect them self from monsters; how he was a satyr charge with protecting me until it was time to go to camp. As he talked a part of me didn't believe him, i Wasn't stupid enough to try and believe that my life just hadn't been drastically changed forever but a part of me raged at the unfairness of it all.

If what Jake was telling me was true then that meant that i would never be able to live a normal life, i would always have to fight and stay on my guard or risk getting killed.... I would never be able to live a true life.

"Oh this day simple can not get any worse." I said.
