Ivy love

Much like the Aphrodite cabin the upper floors of the Athena cabin where lined with doors with bronze name plates and below them where pictures of the residents family and friend along with blue prints, building sketches and other compacted drawings i couldn't make out. We stopped at the end of the hall at a large oak door with the name Annabeth on it and after a moment Mercy knocked.

There was a pause the some girls voice yelling 'COME IN,' Mercy opened the door to see a tall, fit, and athletic with curly golden blonde hair standing with her back to us as she bent over a to look at something on a huge pine oak desk. I blinked at the sight of the girl of the girl, she was pretty but not like Mercy or her siblings. She looked...like a leader.

My eyes dropped down to see what she was wearing and I blinked... was she wearing a bed sheet? it was a pretty bed sheet, that came down to her knees and around the edges was a golden trim ; it was pinned up with a bronze owl shaped broach.

"Um...why are you wearing a bed sheet?" I asked and the girl turned around to look at me, a scowl on her pretty face.

She had light tanned skin and a an intense shade of gray colored eyes that seem to be distracted with some kind of distanced thought.

"It is a toga," she snapped and i raised my hands in 'peace' juster. "if you must know i have a important meeting to attend and i am requirement to wear this, what do you want Mercy? I have other more important things to do then educated a newbie."

Okay that was really uncalled for but i figured slapping the girl across the face wouldn't get us anywhere, so I bit my tong and let Mercy talk.

"Well then we won't keep you then Annabeth, I just need to barrow you computer for a bit that's all." Mercy said and Annabeth frowned at her like she couldn't understand Mercy's requested.

"If your trying to email Piper, don't bother trying. she's not answering anyone's calls,texts or emails believe me I've tried," she said and Mercy glared at her.

"Not hard enough or else you would have gotten in contacted with her by now." Mercy snapped and Annabeth glared right back at her.

"it's not my fault she ran away Mercy, if anyone's to blame for that its you! Piper begged you to understand what was going on but you didn't none of you did." Annabeth snarled and Mercy's sweet face changed into a mask of total anger.

"NO ANNABETH!" she shouted. "SHE DIDN'T IN FACT ALL SHE TOLD ME WAS THAT SHE WAS DIFFERENT AND THAT SHE WISHED JASON COULD BE A TOTAL PART OF HER LIFE BUT HE COULDN'T NOT WITHOUT CHANGING HIMSELF!"

I decided now was the time to step in before blows could be exchanged.

"Look Annabeth," I started drawing she attenuate away from my pissed of friend and on to me, the look on her face made me want to crawl into a hole and hided but just kept on talking. "I have no clue as to what you to are talking about and frankly I don't care but we kind of need your computer to look up on of Daedalus inventions that might help us on our quest and were in a bit of a hurry so can we please use you laptop?" i asked and after a moment Annabeth nodded.

Walking over to a part of the wall, Annabeth turned her back to us and began to press something that we couldn't see and suddenly a part of the wall slid open to reveal a computer station, it wasn't much lust a small normal looking lab top with a large blue Delta (Greek ∆) on the lid, opening up Annabeth booted it up and then typed in a password so fast i couldn't see it then pulled up the home screen, the home screen was the same picture Mercy in her room only this time Annabeth was in it an there was no engraving. Annabeth turned her head to the side to look at me as she paused over a group of files.

"What are you looking for exactly? Passed or current inventions?" She asked and i didn't have to think about it.

"Passed."

Annabeth nodded and started to click on some things until a huge list with small pictures came up each depicting a invention and its name.

"Here is all the inventions Daedalus previously made, everything should be here but i have to worn you everything here was either made or planed to be made so you'll have to do some looking in order to find anything, if you know the name of the invention then just use the search engine at the top right hand corner." she said the got up.

"Shut everything down when your done and leave. I have to head to my meeting like now." She said and left us there alone.

"You think she'll be listening in?" I asked and Mercy snorted. "Knowing Chase probably."

sighing I turned to the lab top and clicked the search engine and typed in key words like 'string' and 'Ariadne' the only things that popped up where called 'Ariadne's string' which looked like the ball i had but was a plan ball of red fleece thread and there was ' Ariadne's string 5.1 version.' which looked like my ball, curious i clicked on the first one and started to read and frowned.

After he defeated the Minotaur, he was able to easily find his way back out by following the trail of string.

'Okay already know that so what else is there?' i thought and scrolled down to 'Daedalus notes'.

the string its self was crafted from the forge of Hephaestus and given to me by the mighty god himself, the girl knew this and begged me to give it to her and of course how could i denied such a beautiful women such as Ariadne, i can only hope she makes god use of it and doesn't allow it to wall into the wrong hands.

"Wow... that's just fucked up." Mercy said and I nodded, Dionysus was married to that?

"click on the other one." Mercy said and i nodded.

the 5.0 version was in short pretty cool, it came with a completely updated maps of everywhere and showed off some pretty cool forgotten locations of demigod safe house ans also came with a monster detector that could detect any monsters with in a two hundred yard radius.

"Cool. we hit the jackpot." I said but Mercy frowned.

"Um Ivy, Look at what the 5.0 version is listed as," Mercy pointed at a little bit of the bold lettering i hadn't seen and I frowned.

INVENTION HAS NOT YET BEEN BUILT.

"Wait what? how is that possible?" i asked and Mercy shrugged.

"I don't know, but what i do know is if one of the Athena or Hephaestus cabin built it with in the last year or so I would have heard about it or hell Ivy at least used it at least once by now. a piece of demigod tech like that would have been shown to all of the head councilors and I'm one of them." Mercy said and my frowned deepened.

"Is there anyway someone could have stolen Annabeth's computer and printed off some blue prints.?" I thought out loud trying to make sense of this.

"No way, Annabeth keeps this thing locked up so tight you think she was hiding it in the junkyard of the gods. If someone did mange to steal it from her then you can bet she would go ballistic and search everyone's rooms until she found it or at the every least found out who took it and beat the snot out of them." Mercy says and starts to pass around the room.

"Then could Daedalus have made it before he... i don't know died? And just forgotten it then someone found it?"

Mercy paused in her passing to think about it then shock her head. "No Daedalus workshop was destroyed in the battle of the labyrinth, nothing but that lad top survived the fire and the collapse of the labyrinth its self nothing survived, and there no way he made it after words. Last I heard Hades appointed him a special punishment to build overpasses in the Fields of Asphodel to help ease the congestion of souls, the only time he's off is on the weekend and only for a few hours." Mercy said and a cursed in Greek.

"Well I'm out of ideas then. what do you suggest we do now?" I asked throwing my hands up in frustration. Mercy shrugged and final stopped passing to turn to look me fall on, a wisp of she beautiful hair threatening to fall in her face as she stared at me.

"Use it, what else can we do? odiously someone wants us to and besides i don't have the first clue as to find an opening to the maze do you?" she asked and I shock my head, "Good, now that's settled we need to go, sunrise is in a hour and I need to pick up some stuff before we leave." Mercy said and after logging off Annabeth's computer I followed Mercy out of the room.
