After the war

Leo really wished that he had installed a porta potty into Festus. Apparently, Ogegea was farther from other islands than they had expected so he ended up having to hold it for 200 miles more than he was comfortable with.
"Valdez! Explanation! Now!", After she was certain that they were actually gaining ground and were truly leaving her paradise of a prison, Calypso immediately started asking Leo why he hadn't come to get her sooner, where he had been, if he had met another girl, and a thousand other things that only girls can say to make a guy uncomfortable.
"Ok!" Leo was doing his best to act annoyed but she was so dang beautiful when she was angry.
"Calm down, I only just rescued you and now your making me want to turn around and put you back!" And with that remark Leo launched into the gripping story of how he single handedly manned a ship while under fire from all sides and still was able to make tacos afterwards.
"Ha ha, Valdez, now tell me the truth." Leo managed a fake sigh and told the truth. Afterwards, Calypso was silent for a while.
"So you killed yourself to defeat a lump of dirt? And your friends think your dead?"
"We-e-el I suppose you could put it that way, or, you could say that I heroically sacrificed myself to defeat the ultimate enemy and that my friends believe I'm missing in action." What Calypso said after that, Leo wouldn't know because Festus suddenly lost control and if it weren't for the straps that held them on, they would have fallen to their death. As Leo clung to the mechanical dragons metal scaling he glanced back to make sure Calypso was holding on tight while he checked to see what was wrong with Festus. The dragon had been fine until they had hit that warm updraft, now the dragons right wing, which had been peppered with holes had some large tears. Leo cursed himself for being so stupid, of course the updraft would tear the already damaged wing! He had to land right away so he could fix it, Leo scanned the ocean with his eyes, trying to catch a glimpse of any island that he could land on. He was about to give up when he spotted a patch of green in the middle of the deep blue ocean, then another, and suddenly there were eight islands below them in a slightly curved line with smaller islands speckled around them. Leo opened Festus's control panel and set his coordinates to the largest island.
