Rogues

The sun washed over my body like a warm shower as I watch my friends enjoy the late morning sun.

Stacy was french braiding Rain's hair while Orie and Hannah sauntered into camp carrying buckets of water.

The air was calm and peaceful. Until, Avery came sprinting in with Marsh on her heels. Jack looked up from the paper that he and Alex were reading.

"There is a large group of kids heading our way! I think that they're going to attack!" Avery said shrilly.

"Ok. Thank you Avery." Jack uttered "Hannah and Alex get Issy, Mia, Finn and Josh. You guys are going to guard from the boulders. Gem," Jack turned to me "take Marsh, Rain, and Natt. You'll attack the kids from behind to drive them to here. Also, stay there to make sure nobody comes after them. The rest of you come with me." No one disobeyed Jack. He was our leader.

I went over to Rain, took her hand, and went through the tunnel, out into the forest.
