I walk into the Infirmary, motioning to my cut. A girl nods at me and points to a nearby seat. "You're Haley, right?" "Yeah." "Let me guess, Clarisse did that to you?" I suppress a grin and say "Of course." "At least she doesn't use Lamer II during Sword and Shield practice." "Lamer II?" "Yeah. The first one broke when she stabbed it in a Drakon's eye. It's real name is Maimer, but everyone calls it Lamer. Anyway, it was an electric spear." "Oh, okay." I keep the cloth pressed on my cut until the girl comes over with a paste. "This isn't serious enough for Nectar. Here, let me." She gently peels off the cloth, and I tip my head back as she spreads a thin layer of some foul-smelling paste onto my cut. "Geez!" I jump, not expecting the sudden stinging feeling. "Sorry, should've warned you about that." I clench the sides of the chair, and try to keep talking to not focus on the pain. "So what's your name anyway?" "Danielle. Apollo cabin. But you probably figured that out." I force a laugh out of my teeth, and agree.

"There. All done." She hands me a wet cloth to wipe the paste off. I gratefully grab it and gently rub it off. I look around for Liam. Wait, the plant Liam.I see him in a window, basking in the sunlight. I walk over to him. "Hey, L. How are you?" I gently pick his pot up, and hold him in the light. "You look nice and green... I think that's good, right?" I look over my shoulder, and Danielle nods in affirmation. I find a small, empty cup and fill it with water from the pump outside. I walk to the outside of the window, and pour some in for Liam. "I hope you're doing okay. I don't know what to do here. I don't fit in. Please Liam..." I wipe a stray tear that fell from my eyes, hating that I was even crying in the first place. "Hey," Danielle calls. "If you want, and you'll take good care of him, you can take him to your cabin." "Really?" "Really." I think about it for a minute, and decide to take him. "Thanks for healing me!" I call as I walk towards archery practice.

It turns out that I'm not half bad at archery. It just has a lot of calculations, like wind speed, height, etc. Nyssa was amazing though. She was like a female Legolas, but a girl and kinda short. She'd pull arrow after arrow from her quiver, a couple times 2 at once just to show off. Chiron helped me as much as he could, but I guess it just takes time to get good at anything.


After that it was time to ride some winged horses. Yeah, they have those. First it was just good ol' fashioned trail rides, then after out picnic lunch we flew and fought in aerial combat.

After that, around 1pm sometime, it was basically Monsters 101 with the Hermes cabin. How to attack, defend and find the weak spots in any monster. Thankfully, that was the last class. I was freakin' tired.

"Hey, Haley! Whatcha gonna do now that it's free time?" "Free time?" "Yeah! There are like 3 different activities you can do. Personally I like my cabin's class. You get to make your own bronze weapon!" "Soo.. could I make decals for my staff?" "Sure! Since you already have a weapon you can customize it anyway you want. If you knew any magic you could add some... but even I don't know any magic yet." "Oh, cool then. Guess I'll come. But first I gotta go get it." I start jogging back to my cabin, waving back to Nyssa saying "I'll meet you there!"
