Christmas Eve - THe most magical night of the year
It was the night before Christmas. I was so excited. I had never really celebrated Christmas in America before (well I did but I was too young to remember). According to Percy, Christmas Eve was like one of the Camp Half Blood equivalent to Valentine's Day. If you wanted to ask someone out, today was the day you do it. If you didn’t want to go with a date you could go by yourself, but apparently, if you obviously like someone, you’ll get bombarded with people complaining. But hey I don’t know the exact details. So everyone was gearing up for the event. Me, on the other hand, was waiting for a certain somebody to ask me to go with him. Lyss and Em had already decided that they were going to go with Travis and Connor Stoll (I’m pretty sure that Lyss like Connor), Travis’ girlfriend, Katie Gardner and Ross Lynch (Em’s crush). Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank (Yeah the Romans decided to join us for Christmas Eve. Yippee! not. Well Reyna, Jason, Frank and Hazel are okay but I hate Romans), Nico, Will Solace and Reyna were going as a group. So I was left alone. Unless you count Alex but he hadn’t made his move yet.
“There’s going to be a big event at this years one, we’ve got to get perfect otherwise, I’m sure if… a certain someone would like it,” He said, whenever I asked him about it. See what I mean? boys! So I’m going by myself. I walked down to the beach. I sat down on the sand. Off in the distance, on the ocean, there was something floating. I couldn’t tell what it was, I would have if I was in the water. Suddenly, the thing lit up. Standing on the floating stage was Percy, Jason, Frank, Alex, Connor, Ross and Travis. They started singing Classic by MKTO. One of my favourite songs. As the song finished, I ran up to the sea and dived in. Faster than a normal mortal, I was soon on the stage. I embraced Alex in a hug.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” He asked “Cuz you’re the pearl in the ocean of my life,”
“Only if you stop using silly pick up lines,” I say back, kissing on the lips. The whole camp cheered. Alex and Indy were officially an item. Inlex was the talk of the camp.
