Gods Fight For Their Child (Complete)

I summined the mist and left using my new powers. I didn't mean to scare everyone but I couldn't handle it anymore the questions were insane! People trying to make us feel better were making it worse. I could use my gift from Aphrodite to tell that Annabeth was feeling the same and I wanted to get her away from it more than anything. To be honest what I did was nicer than turning around and walking away.

Using my new gift I looked into Annabeth's emotions, she is scared.

"Hey Wise Girl" I start "come here" I say as I pull her closer to me into a warm embrace. "You'll be fine, I wil protect you with my life and it won't hurt me at all" I rereassure her. "Percy, I love you!" She says suddenly "i can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you because I have no doubts that of anybody can survive this , it's us!" She sounds reassured.

I look around at our surroundings and notice that this is where we had our first of many battles in my first capture the flag game. Nothing has changed well except that Luke, Beckendorf and a few other of our friends have passed away and that small minor detail, we hated eachothers guts!

"Hey seaweed brain, do you realize that this is the place where we had our first duel?" Questions Annabeth. I burst out laughing and she looks at me like I'm crazy.

"Whats wrong did I do something" asks Annabeth worriedly

"No" I say between laughs "it's just that I was think the exact same thing!" I laugh and this time she joins in. I can't help thinking this is how it 'ought to be (who else sung that or was it just me?) Why do the gods feel like they have to ruin our lives? I dunno.

We are laughing together when Reyna and Nico walk up to us,

"Guys you do realise that the whole camp has been searching for you for like an hour and you have been here laughing in the woods" Nico states glumly but he looks happy to see us safe

"Oh my gods guys you literally sounded like gods then, you sounded so confident and I wanted to follow you it was like listening to you father when you were speaking Percy!" Exclaims Reyna. I just look at her,

"Great, another reason for the gods to hate me" I mumble to myself but unfortunately they all hear me and start consoling me again.

"Guys" I stop them mid sentance "this is why we left in the first place, the questions are way to hard to handle and we don't want the Sympathy it just makes it harder again" I tell them more forcefully than intended and they pull away hurt.

"I didn't mean it like that guys" I start

" we just mean we thank you for your concern but we don't really want to hear people talking about us all the time" finishes Annabeth. Thankfully saving me because I was lost for words.

"Anyway, Rachel just issued a new prophecy and I think you two might want to hear it" Nico tells us solemnly.

"Dammit those things are always so damm confusing! " exclaims Annabeth as we walk towards the big house.

Zeus' P.O.V
What in Tartarus was my idiot brother thinking when he gave them more powers! Did he not think that people follow him because all of a sudden Athena, Hephaestus and that wretched Love Goddess, Aphrodite. Now the pair have more powers and that child is going to be more powerfull and now I have more of a reason to kill it! There is no way Annabeth can live because if she dies then Percy might hopefully will hinself dead to, it would be another worry out of my way.
