The New Addition To The Jackson Family

“You and Nico? Have to talk to me? Ummm… Okay.. I guess?” Annabeth said. I could tell she was trying to guess what Nico and I had to talk to her about. I could practically see the gears in her brain working and turning. We had already eaten dinner and we had like a half hour before curfew. Annabeth followed me to the Hades cabin. Cabin 13. It was so dark! Of course it was like 8 o’clock at night, but still. Nico had us sit on the floor on a plush red carpet. It was soft and surprising warm. Annabeth looked at me and said silently, This place creeps me out. I don’t want to be in here any longer than I have to be. I nodded.

“So, Nico. Let’s get on will it. We only have like 20 minutes dude.” I said. Now Annabeth and I have seen some of the Pernico fanart.. I could see in Annabeth’s eyes that she was worried that I would be dumping her for little Nico. So I planted a kiss on her cheek to show that I loved her. She giggled. And Nico coughed.

“Okay. Annabeth, I told Percy this briefly. I don’t know all the details.” Nico began.

“Wait so its not about Pernico?” Annabeth said fake stunned.

“WHAT! PERCNICO! GODS NO! I LOVE WILL! WILL IS MY BOYFRIEND! ARE PEOPLE SERIOUSLY STILL MAKING PERCNICO FANART!” Nico wailed. Annabeth and I just laughted. “ITS NOT FUNNY! I HAD A STUPID LITTLE KID CRUSH ON YOU! NOW EVERYONE SHIPS ME WITH YOU! IM DATEING WILL FREAKING SOLACE!” Just then Will came in.

“Is everything alright Nico? I hear you screaming and I rushed over!” Will said out of breath.
Nico blushed and said, “Yeah. Everything’s alright babe.” When Nico said babe I wiggled my eyebrows and Nico throw a pillow at me. Then Will leaned in to kiss Nico and Annabeth clamped my mouth shut so I couldn’t go ‘OOOOHHHH’ Will whispered something to Nico that I couldn’t make out ad nico said a bit louder “Okay.”

“What does he want?” Asked Annabeth.

“N-nothing,” Nico stammered. “Anyway. I wanted you to know-“ and he told Annabeth What he told me earlier.

Annabeth put her hand on her stomach and if she was about to puke. “Wait. You mean, if we raise kidS.. Plural.. THEY will die. What about if we raise the one that I’m carrying now in the world of the gods, with he/she die was well?” Annabeth asked. I love the way she tries to find loopholes in everything.

“To be honest Annabeth, I have no idea. But it’s better to be safe than sorry. Right?” Nico tried.

“But what about the monsters?” Annabeth asked. “I mean, It’s not like the gods will help us. My mom is mad at me for it. Zeus is probably not going to help. Poseidon might, but he would be the only one. Where will we live? It’s not safe in the mortal world for demigods. “

“She has a point Nico. If we go to the mortal world we die and our kids will be in foster homes. Ask Leo about that. He says it’s not fun. And I don’t want that for my kids. But If we stay here or in New Rome the kids will die.” I said. I loved the idea of settling down in New Rome with Annabeth and a few kids. But now, that idea is like signing my kids’ death note. What kind of father does that. But on the other hand if we live in the mortal world Annabeth and I could die. GODS WHAT IS UP WITH MY LIFE AND DEATH! “Wait! What age would the kids die? If we could train them to fight we might be able to hold of a little bit.” Annabeth looked shocked that she didn’t think of that first.

“That’s a good point Percy.” Annabeth chided. “Nico?”

“Again I don’t know. But I’ll do back to my father’s place and try to get some info for you guys.” Nico admitted.

I looked at my watch that Tyson had made me so many years back. “OH SHIT! ITS 8:45 THE CLEAN HARPERS AER LITTERALLY GOING TO KILL US!” Annabeth and I jumped up and said thanks to Nico for the heads up. Then we ran to our cabins. I blow Annabeth a kiss. And she did the same. I saw the harpies and snuck through the back window of the cabin. “That was close.” I whispered to myself. The night was a humid and sticky so I decided to just rip off my clothes and sleep in my boxers.

My dad sent me a dream message that wasn’t pleasant. It want like this:
I was in a small apartment. It looked a lot like my moms. But my mom wasn’t in the kitchen it was Annabeth in her “I LOVE SEAWEED BRAIN’ apron. There was a baby cry from one of the rooms down the hall. I was pulled toward it. It was a baby girl with curly dark brown hair and her eyes where a mixture of a sea green and a stormy grey. Then a man came in. It was me!

‘Annabeth! Luna needs to be changed!’ I said groggily.

‘IM MAKING BREAKFAST! YOU DO IT!’ She yelled back.

I gowned. ‘But I did it last night!’

‘AT WHAT TIME’ Annabeth hollered.

‘Ummm, before we went to bed.’

‘I GOT UP AT 3 AM TO CHANGE AND FEED HER! YOU ARE CHANGING HER!’ She definitely didn’t get enough sleep. She scared me as a watched my dream self change the baby. Then I set the baby down and she passed out. She started to drool. Wow this kid was so much like me! My dream me came out of the room.

Then the dream changed, I was on the beach. My father Poseidon rose up from the sea uh-oh I thought to myself.

‘Percy. I am here to help you.’ My father said.

‘Help with what?’ I asked.

My father sighed. We sat on some rocks and watched the tide come in and out, in and out. ‘Percy, I talked with Athena and she was very upset at me. And I can see why. But she finally agreed to make a safe home for you and Annabeth and your future children. But it is being planned out and it will take a lot of godly magic to mask the scent of just you. Not to mention Athena’s strongest offspring. And the offspring of the both of you. We would need all 12 of the Olympians to agree to help make the building.’

He paused to let me take in that information. After of few moments for thinking I said ‘Well I’m screwed.’

‘Now Percy. I know that some of-‘

I cut him off, ‘Some of. NO MOST OF THE OLYPMIANS HATE ME AND WANT ME DEAD!’

‘Yes, but on your side you have me, Athena, Aphrodite, Hestia, Hephaestus, Hermes, Apollo, and Artemis. That’s 8 of 12. We are trying our best to persuade the others Hera is on the verge and so is Hades. The only reason Hera isn't on board is because she doesn't like Annabeth.’ My father put his arms around me in a hug. It was the first time he’d ever hugged me. I hugged him back.

‘But what about 9 months from now. What you just showed me was an apartment building, not a house.’ I asked once he pulled away.

‘Son I don’t know how long it will be. But I do know that it will take more than 9 months to get all the Olympians on board and to build the house. But you and Annabeth are both really strong and can handle anything that comes your way. But that’s all I have time to say. Goodbye my son.’ And he disappeared into sea mist.

I woke up to my alarm blaring in my ear and the sweet smell of salt water. It was time to start my day.
