The New Addition To The Jackson Family

Percy had a picnic blanket already set up with a cute little picnic basket. There were candles too. A bouquet of roses and a giant freaking teddy bear! The waves were very calm for this time of day. Thanks Poseidon. I thought. Percy held my hand and led me to a red checkered blanket.

“Table.. er blanket for two.” Percy smiled.

I blushed and said, “Aw, how romantic.” Percy can be so romantic and grown up sometimes. I really did love my seaweed brain. I couldn’t see myself without him. Even when I was 12 I knew he would be the one I’d spend the rest of my life with. The ‘I hate you’ act was just that an act. I had feelings for him that a 12 year old girl wouldn’t understand.

“What are you looking at?” Percy asked.

“Was I looking? Sorry, I just can’t believe that you set this all up yourself.” I said.

“Well I had some help.” He blushed. “I asked my dad too calm the waves; I talked to Connor and Travis about getting the bear; I begged Katie for the flowers and Leo for this.” Fireworks shut up into the sky. My mind started racing! How can I see them? It’s the middle of the day. But this was Leo we were talking about. The guy can make anything. Just then Percy held out a box. “It’s not a ring, I can’t afford to get one right now. But I’m hoping soon. It’s a necklace.” He opened the box. The necklace was beautiful. A silver chain with a heart surrounded by pale sea green pearls.

I covered my mouth in awe at its beauty. I slowly moved hand down to my heart. “It’s beautiful!” I gasped.

He giggled, “Surprised or something wise girl.”

I just kissed him in response. He kissed back and in no time it was a full out make out sess. He kissed with so much passion I stopped and said, “Who are you and what have you done with my seaweed brain?”

“I figured that we have been dating for so long that its time that I should step up my game.” He said. “Because I feel like I’m not being that much of a good boyfriend.

“No, Percy. I think being a good boyfriend is just caring about the other person. It’s not all about spoiling the other with gifts. Though I do appreciate the flowers, the bear and the necklace. Percy I love you for you. Not because you give me gifts.” I kissed his cheek. I really did love him for him. Having his baby was just a plus.

“So, shall we eat? I made PB&J.” Percy grabbed a couple of sandwiches.

“Only you Perseus Jackson.” I teased as I he handed me a sandwich.

“So, baby names?” Percy said with his mouth full.

“Percy how many times do I have to tell you- wait did you just ask about baby names?” I choked.

“Yes. Was that wrong?” He asked generally concerned.

“No. It’s good. Just surprised me.” I stared at him.

“I’m just full of surprises today.” He said leaning over to kiss my cheek. “But I actually had a few ideas. For a girl Luna Grace Jackson, or Willow Sally Jackson, or Paisley Jean Jackson and for a boy Jayden Shawn Jackson, or Fredrick Paris Jackson, or Alexander James Jackson.”

“I like Luna Grace Jackson for a girl and Alexander or Alex James Jackson for a boy.” I had to think for a bit. Mostly because those names came from the most seaweed brained seaweed brain. They were so good! We finished eating and packed up the picnic and just walked along the beach. The next thing we knew the conch shell horn blew for dinner. I decided to sit at the Poseidon table because I loved my boyfriend so much.

“Aren’t you supposed to be over there?” Percy pointed at the Athena table.

“Yeah, but I love you more than them.” I said. I had pizza and Greek salad for dinner. Percy had a blue steak and blue mashed potatoes with a blue coke. Seriously why blue?

“Percy? Do we have the same sized finger?” Leo popped out of nowhere.

“Ummmm… Why?” Percy was confused. I LOVED IT!

“I made a bet with Calypso.” He lied. Sometimes I just love Leo. “She said no kisses if she’s wrong. And she’s right. We don’t. Yours is 2 inches bigger.” He said the last part slowly a she jotted down the size. “Thanks perc.” Then he ran off.

“What was that about?” Percy asked.

“No idea.” I said quickly sipping on a chocolate milk shake.

“Are you hiding something from me?” Percy said as he tickled me.

“NO. No. I swear. But you will be hiding a black eye if you keep tickling me!” I said laughing and kicking. He immediately stopped. And kissed my right cheek, then my nose, then my left cheek and finally a quick peck on the lips.

“Okay. As long as-“ he was cut short by a bunch or gasps.

“Annabeth, You have to see thing.” Clarisse said grabbing my arm.

It was.. But it can’t be.

“LUKE!” I rushed over to make sure he was okay. He was covered in bloody cuts, bruises and sweat. “Luke, can you hear me? How are you here? What happened? OH GODS! You look like you’ve been through hell."

“Annabeth? Is that really you?” Luke said groggily.

I gripped his hand. “Yes Luke it’s really me.”

“Annabeth, back away from him.” Percy said. “He’s dangerous.” He grabbed my waist and pulled me away from Luke.

“Percy! He’s obviously in pain and hurt! We need to help him! Someone get a stretcher and bring him to the infirmary.” Nobody moved. “Hello! A fellow demigod is in need of medical attention and you all look like medusa victims!”

“Someone. Please. Help. Me.” Luke tried to say.

Percy still holding me by my waist said, “Why are you here!?”

“I. Need. Help. Percy. Please.” Luke held out his hand but it fell immediately due to him being so weak.

“Alright. WILL! YOU’RE NEED! QUICK!” Percy didn’t look to happy about it though. Will came rushing over and lifted Luke onto the stretcher and ran him to the infirmary.
